I really enjoyed my playthrough of this tank and I revisit it from time to time. It's not the easiest to play due to the fact that it is so big and doesn't have the concealment the WWII version has. It's definitely a tank that hits hard though and the gun is very consistent for such a high calibre. Thanks for the support mate :)

Great video. I've started down this line, but I wasn't sure about going past the 268 because of all the fast heavy tank in Era 2. I agree with you on not using h.e. in Cold War. Technically it should penetrate the light tanks, but good luck lobbing that shell at all the speed demons swarming your tank.

Thanks mate 😊 I really do think heavies in CW need some adjusting as they're just too good in almost every area. Maybe some speed nerfs or something. They are fun to play for that reason though lol

It's a good line. Obj. 268 is insanely good in Era 1. Big alpha has always been a favourite of mine.

Don’t have this one, but it can be a pain to play against. The big drawback is the camo/profile. Camo doesn’t mean much because of true sight, but they sure do stick out on the horizon compared to other TDs!

It's such a massive tank for sure. Very hard to hide but it does slap. The shell velocity is awesome. Like a laser!

Good games. Did not think it would be any good in cw era 2 due to the T72'S but seems ok due to the alpha. Better than the Mauler I was playing. Gave up the grind during the T54 122 dispersion horrendous

Compared to the Heavies in Era 2 and CW in general most tanks kind of underpowered but it's very fun and it's got great DPM with that alpha. The shell velocity is awesome too 👍

Just unlocked it. I could only afford reloader and fast aiming. Time to sliver grind. Playin my non premo tanks is killin the bank 😂

I'm terrible at managing my silver mate, so I feel your pain! I don't understand why the WWII Taran has such good concealment, when this tank could certainly benefit from it. Thanks for your support mate :)

4 months later, and I hate it. Every match is an L. I am trying it again. 7 Skill Stealth Commander and I bought camos. 2 matches top 3 since the changes

Sorry, it's awful. It has no armour, fine but the gun sucks too. I see round after round absorbed with no damage, I have even gone to premium and have seen these do zero damage. These are large heavy hitting rounds 1700m/s yet my FV heavy tank does more damage as it consistently pens.

That's a completely fair opinion mate and a lot of it comes down to preference on playstyle and sometimes just pure luck and 'feel' of the tank. I agree though that it isn't very forgiving and it is definitely not one of the most competitive tanks in Era 2. I enjoy the big alpha but I wouldn't play it if I was trying to be ultra competitive. With more variety I'm sure there will come a Tank Destroyer with better armour and a reasonably high alpha damage in a more useful package. Honestly, I asked this right from when the WWII version was released. It makes no sense they are so different. I still like this but it's not so easy to play in Cold War, especially as it doesn't have the base concealment the WWII Taran has. WG does WG things lol.
