​​​​​​@@meemoo-l2i IS-7's hull is not V-shaped in that sense. What they mean with the V-shape is the structure behind the tracks. The obj-257 goes V'shaped down across the whole bottom of the tank, behind the tracks as well. The IS-7 has a small radius going down from the armored extrusions resulting in flat sufaces going down to it's very, very thick tracks. The reason IS-7 can reasonably overpeek is because of the thickness of the tracks whereas obj-257 is even more effective because the armor behind it's tracks is effectively angled down the whole side of the tank. IS-7 is stronger frontally because it has virtually no frontal weakspot but the lower plate. Obj has the viewports but also the turret roof is easily overmatchable. What I see people forgetting is that overpeeking the pike-nose of the tank at a full 90 degree angle it will result in 300 mm+ to bait with, too. 45° peeks in Obj

What do you mean by "you need to show triangle" which triangle are you refering to? I don't see any part of the front armor that looks like a triangle...

@@citizenoftheverse4653 Best example is IS-7 it have triangle front armor,upper plates are strong when you face enemy straight if you try sidescarpe like German tanks enemy see left or right less andgled upper plate so from effective 310mm is down to 235Mm and that is much more easy to pen and that mistake Skill did. You can see that in video in last hit where in penetration.

Its a fun tank with good armour but the moment you are playing against a good player it turns into probably one of the easiest tier 9 heavy tanks to pen :D So just pick your battles carefully and you should have fun

Also about sidescarping its not that hot yes you can get get non pen hit from Scorp G under 90 angle but you must be lucky to enemy hit specifit armor place.

Reverse sidescrap is better to do with this tank. When you sidescrap frontally, you're ruining frontal armor angles and making it easy to penetrate. And also be careful with its roof, 130mm guns can overmatch it

A tank that relies on the enemy not knowing where to shoot it is not a good tank this day in age. Everyone has a reticle to tell them where to pen you. On this tank there are oh so many places to be penned. The top of the turret has a bunch of weak points and can be overmatched even if you are reverse side scraping. I don't know about Europe, but the NA servers don't see a lot of new players, in my experience everyone knows how to pen this tank. I have yet to have one of these miracle games where everyone just bounces off my over angled side. I have also not experienced the gun being, "better than it looks on paper". IMO, it's a bad tank. Even skill showed it just doesn't work on half the maps in the game. It is a chore to play it.

@@Morpheus_the_dreamer I know it very well as I rage sold that tank. It can be extremely fun in some games against noobs, otherwise there is no safe way to peak enemies and you became a light tank. Nevertheless, what I wanted to say is that criticising it because “it doesn’t work in most maps” it’s simply uncorrect, cuz also t-10, tiger maus etc. would have struggled in such maps

almost any other tier 9 ht have "trollish" armor against noobs, and in this case i think main highlight of this tank is mobility not the armor, you can slap turbo on it and you have tier9 260

No man this armour is on completely another level, way different from is7 and 260 and other tier 9. Whenever you see enemies show your side hoping they don’t know where to aim. There isn’t any other tank in the game like this. The mobility is good yes. But whenever enemies know where to penetrate there is no safe way to pick enemies and you basically became a light tank. So it either very very fun or either frustrating as hell, no in between

@@Volverin-it1vd Stock engine has 700hp and top engine 850hp, which is a significant upgrade (actually more than putting a bounty turbo on the 1st engine). It will seriously increase the power/weight ratio, the effective top speed and effective traverse of the tank. 48k exp. isn't hard to farm, you can get it in few battles if you use wisely your x2 x5, exp boost reserves, etc. Then you will avoid the painful experience of grinding a tier X with a partially stock tank, which is almost never a good idea.

I found this a too very passive tank. You play games at a corner (better hope you are alone and have space) while your team gets pizd. You go to medium flank? Team gets even worse pizd.

with the introduction of 752 I stopped playing 257. That thing is even more trollish than this. Nub friendly.

Yeah 752 should be nerfed, crazy how none talks about it, just because it has cupola. Frontal and side armor is insane trollish, a better version of 257 with autoloader

@@claudioimprota6017 Yeah. When you have more than enough survivability with an auto loader the tank is just powerful. Initially I thought it would suck due to the pre-nerf but it completely persuaded me. Well, many premium should be nerfed.
