@CC Pipe please consider doing an "InDesign obscure tool bar items" series some day. Every time we learners get confused we have to assemble our solutions from multiple videos that just barely touch explaining tool bar items cause-and-effects. Many times they assume we know everything in InDesign and I have to rewind just to see where the mouse was placed and interpret it myself. Most don't explain what are the tools for, just assume we know them and fly through the tutorials

Object styles have always been an underused function in Indesign. I am a new user and picked up on this quickly, and glad I did. Thanks for the tutorial.

Thanks for a very clear tutorial! Do you know if there is an easy way to select all objects of a certain style? The reason I want to select all is because I want to apply "clear overrides" for all objects of a certain style.

Hi, happy to hear it. In the find and change dialog (CTRL+F) there is a tab for objects, I haven't used it much but you should be able to find and change an object style or a particular attribute. If it's about type this trick might also be helpful: kzbin.infolnTGINs6QTE?feature=shared

thanks so much for this content! I have a question, is it also possible to Link (threaded frames) textboxes for longer import text files so I can place the text in one go and apply after the objects styles. I coudn't do it so you might have an idea or work around on this?

Hi, I've noticed that problem too. And I don't have a great solution. Some things work some doesn't. I usually unlink boxes (at least temporarily) and then apply object styles if I need to work with them. Glad you liked the video.

@@ccpipe thank you! Yeah I did unlink the boxes after more or less placing the text and then formated the objects, its a bit a lala option but it does work. Happy to see more of your content, well presented, thanks!
