Even though Flower is one of my favorite characters, I do feel like they favored her. But I have a theory why. Coming into merge along with Flower was Woody, Firey, Teardrop, Leafy, Gelatin, and Lollipop. In a final vote situation, the only people she had a chance of beating at the time of BFB 24's release was Woody and MAYBE Teardrop, but it's harder to say. The writers wanted her to win, so I think they added Loser, Spongy, and even Balloony (people who aren't NEARLY as popular as everyone else) so that Flower could stay in a little longer. In BFB 22's case, I do think the 1 vote difference was bull, but I honestly don't doubt that Flower could've won that vote against Taco, they made it that close for drama purposes I guess.

I love Michael and Cary as a writing duo, but I really felt like they struggled to write characters not from their original season. So with everyone not in that original 20, not only was their personality noticeably different between parts, but it feels as though M and C were always struggling to give their characters equal screentime and attention to the ones they haven't had all their lives. I completely understand why they'd be a little biased towards their favorites. And I don't think the situation is quite as bad as people are saying. Flower winning three immunities is definitely one too many I feel. Although, they did make a point of giving every contestant at least one immunity win up to that point, so someone getting two was bound to happen. Three I feel was too much, they could've had her be eligible for voting during the episode where Lollipop and Gelatin were also immune, I think she'd still end up safe there. And as for episode 29, yeah, I'd say Gelatin definitely got dealt a raw end there. But it's not like both of them could've saved the show. I suppose there might've been a way but ehh. I like Flower's win, I really do. And while I think the bias wasn't as severe as people say, it was definitely there.

Gelatin making it into the final two while not having gotten immunity as many times as Flower did gave Gelatin a higher quantity of proof that viewers did like him very much. If viewers liked him enough for him to win BFB, the trend simply would've continued, and he would've got more votes than Flower, since the decision is ultimately up to the majority of voters, but he didn't. Since Flower wasn't up for elimination during the previous voting period, there was the illusion that her win was sudden. Gelatin was the first character to realize that Flower could save the show, even before Flower had realized, so they *did* save the show together. Other characters had to encourage Flower to do so as well. After that, Gelatin even offered to work on a business with her as compensation, which is very significant since he owns a steakhouse chain. In the end, the Announcer entertained the idea of either of the characters winning BFB.

You could argue that she deserved to win bc she got a redemption arc, but look at woody. He actually recieved good, steady character development AND got last in bfdi if you count rejoins. i think the problem comes down to bfdi being a viewer vote show, theres nothing wrong with them per-say but if you want to tell a specific story its a little difficult due to the unpredictability, contestant vote shows dont have the same problem very often because the writers get full say over who gets eliminated

I know this is a late and irrelevant comment, but I really think people who say it was "rigged" are exaggerating. I do think some of the writers fiddled with some of her personality to give her a quicker redemption arc and maybe tried to make her more likeable, but in my humble opinion, I think that was a good thing. I mean cmon, the only screen time she had in BFDI was...well...her just being mean and being used as a punching bag due to her being "that one spoiled first boot." I honestly think she DESERVED some redemption, I believe they just rushed it too quickly. The Taco vs Flower elimination was kind of always weird to me, but I mean, cmon. And all the people saying, "Well Satomi said ____" doesn't exactly make it true, as I haven't seen Satomi speak out about anything regarding faked votes. It is likely just a rumor. In conclusion, I am not saying this just because Flower is my favorite character or I'm "picking sides," I'm just trying to put my opinion out there to maybe, hopefully, help some people to not jump to so many conclusions. Even if the writers did "favor" her, I mean, can you really make an object show where all the characters get EQUAL screen time and all have the SAME EXACT personalities?

Other similar events took place during BFB 29, giving Flower unfair treatment. The person was likely accusing the writers of trying to make voters have sympathy towards Flower. I don't think the writers intended this to be the case, since I found it funny when Flower got comically mistreated without serious negative consequences in the end. Those events were probably supposed to be cartoonish gags rather than mistreatment to take seriously.

In the same way, if voters didn't want Flower to win BFB, then they wouldn't have voted for her to win, regardless of how Flower was comedically mistreated during a few scenes. This factor isn't important enough to sway the votes.

The finale of BFB wasn't rigged, but the ending of BFB was designed in a way to give closure to Flower's redemption arc that pretty much lasted the entirety of BFB, which swayed a lot of voters. The viewers reacted positively to a character that was well-written, which is intuitive. Most of the characters post-split had something interesting to them anyway, but Flower does have a prominent history in this series and is a lot of people's favorite contestant. The idea that Jacknjellify was biased to Flower is only being expressed because it's an entertaining narrative rather than because it's accurate to how the story was made. The accusations of voting fraud don't have evidence to them, but Flower did get a lot of immunity late in the competition. Gelatin only got immunity once yet he didn't eliminated the whole way through post-split BFB until he didn't win the finale, so if the majority of voters really wanted him to win, he simply would've got more votes than Flower in the finale. Gelatin was kind to Flower after Flower sacrificed a lot of money, and the Announcer entertained the idea of either character winning BFB. I think it would've been cool for Gelatin to win so the Newbie Alliance could've been a success and so he could maintain the fact that he has never been eliminated (if you count not winning as being eliminated), so there weren't only reasons for voters to choose Flower. Before Leafy got eliminated, I even thought she was highly likely to win BFB, because post-split BFB gave closure to the story about Dream Island, Firey winning it and Leafy taking it, so I thought Leafy would win and give Firey one of the prizes. The story between Firey and Leafy was given a sweet ending during the finale of BFB despite neither of them winning, so clearly that was an interest that the writers had, yet they clearly didn't rig one of those contestants into winning. With all that being established, the case is just that Flower was the right character in the right circumstances. It made sense for her to win, not that there was bias behind the scenes, just that the plot was supporting the fact that it would make sense for her to win, so the story can have good writing. Also, the vibe of BFB's finale was that whichever character won didn't matter, because both of them were happy to get so far into the competition! Flower's happy thought was a realistic alternate outcome where Gelatin won instead of Flower. Gelatin was very quick to stop being disappointed about losing, and was happy about being the runner up. Flower gave Gelatin the BFB not only for the sake of being nice to her friend by sharing a prize, but also so that Gelatin was able to help finish Four's arc without being the winner and without Flower being present, since Flower had to be with the Announcer and Purple Face so that their roles in BFB can have closure. It's not unlikely that the finishing of Four's arc in BFB's finale was mostly written without regard for who won BFB. There was even a joke where Four congratulated Gelatin for winning, but it abruptly stopped being heartfelt because Gelatin pointed out that Flower actually won.

I still hold on to my firm belief that both BFDI winners so far has been rigged. It's slightly more less obvious for Firey. He was the first character created and they clearly wanted him to win. I'm still convinced that Leafy should have actually won and that the votes were altered in some way. As this video mentions, Flower was clearly put in favor over the others and it was set up for her to win. Hell, if they really wanted to I'm sure they could figure out a way to make Rocky win.

I didn't think of that at all when I voted. Those seemed to just be gags for laughs, not to be part of the seriousness of the story. I even voted for Gelatin to win, and I was fine with either of the finalists winning. That's how the viewers were supposed to feel during the end of BFB. It ended happy for everyone, and Gelatin even got the prize that he wanted despite not winning. It made sense for Flower to win, since completing Flower's redemption arc seemed to appeal more to most of the voters than Gelatin winning for his simple themed alliance. There are other voting motivations, but it'd be quite a lot to explain. That should have its own video.

While I don’t particularly care about the show, as an advent Taco defender, I obviously looked into the vote. In most results I could find at the time, Taco pulled ahead right at the very end, with her lowest result I found at the time being bottom three. While anything can change, the sudden shift from her having the most votes, a scenario I observed in the live vote count, to the least by such a minuscule margin seems fishy-especially when the rest of the season seemed to be rigged for a Flower win by giving her random immunities whenever she was the clear outlier of the cast and.. of course.. BFB 29. While nothing can be said for certain, for the sake of plot, I think it’s likely that Flower was indeed saved by the producers, a theory that’s evidently more suspicious when you take into account how Flower is Cary’s favorite contestant. Although, we’ll never know for certain.

The Episode before she got eliminated she got barely any screen time And because of the voting system more votes are better Blending in the background wasn't going to be good at all Basically the episode before bubbles elimination she barely got any screen time causing lack of votes for the character. For more information, this is not true. Cary said in BFB 22 that the vote counter was completely accurate and that there really was a one vote difference. Aside from that, the only reason Flower got more screen time was because we, as a fan base, wanted her to have more screen time. JnJ were just complying to us. If anything, her amount of screen time is entirely our fault.

yes, the writers rigged a few eliminations where flower was pretty much gonna be eliminated. they changed the votes to keep flower in. they were biased to keep flower in and it's true. it's been exposed. flower gained a lot of hate from BFB 23 so there's no way she'd stay (also, cary said in one of his humany videos that he considered everyone loves blocky). and they gave flower TWO ADVANTAGES in BFB 29. first one was giving her more screentime than gelatin, and the second one, obviously, making her save the show so the little kids vote her to win. but she was pretty much forced to do so, she didn't even want to save the show because she'd lose her money. and jacknjellify also gave her immuninity too many times. they gave flower immunity in BFB 28 just to make sure she doesn't get voted off, because she'd never be up for elimination again, so they could handle the bias. so yeah, it's so stupid to make flower win for no reason. they should've respected the votes and the community.

I have to agree that Flower was one of the characters that the creators made her doing something to get the viewers vote her, this also happened with pencil, leafy, stapy, firey Jr(for me the most obvious) and David in the votes to eliminate and making viewers dont vote to save people like Bubble or leafy, even tho BFB 29 obviously made the new and younger viewers vote her to win, i would still voted her BC of her change of character since bfdi. Also i dont really think that jacknjelify would rigged the votes of Bfb 22, even tho i cant prove it, i dont really think that they would change the results for make their planned season go exactly like they want, BC thats the point of a object show, let the viewers make their own history VOTING the contestants they want to vote, changing everything that could happend. This is just my opinion, so dont take It like a death message lol. *(grain of salt as a flower voter here)* I agree with a lot of the points in this video however I feel that Flower is a positive ending to the story as we got to see her grow for an entire season. Gelatin didn’t have a lot going for him going into BFB 29 besides his already fell apart alliance. I think flower realizing that winning wasn’t what she wanted is a great ending especially the “I really did win didn’t I,” line. I think the whole saving the show thing in BFB 29 was probably intentional. While it didn’t personally make me vote her to win, it probably did someone. I think there’s definitely an argument for Gelatin’s alliance giving him a lot of voters to last through the merge considering his closer calls in Pre-Split and BFB 20 but I’d doubt it. Overall I don’t think Flower’s win was 100% rigged but she should’ve gotten less immunities, say remove the one in BFB 28 and have her and have her and Teardrop UFE.

I mean, I've always thought it was unfair because how Flower was portrayed in BFB 29 in comparison to how Gelatin was, but wow, now I see that It's been rigged for much longer than that, and it makes you think for how long they can keep the viewer voting system. It was ok before when it was something new and generally a good format, but now that several issues start to appear, like how it can be rigged like Flower or simply because it's hard to create drama or an interesting plot since people root usually for the nicest or funniest one, making a villain character impossible to introduce, because there would only be two outcomes: It gets instantly voted out because he's mean to the liked characters, or put barely ever its team up for elimination until it has a last moment character arc two episodes before his team loses. And with no drama, everything becomes bland. I feel like it would be better if in TPOT they would do like Inanimate Insanity Invitational, where they made like Total Drama and made the contestants vote, though III doesn't actually do anything with that, like there is no villain and contestants get voted for something that happened in the span of 4 seconds making the whole show extremely boring and I think it's an overrated season, but I couldn't think of another example. I honestly think that regarding the Taco vs Flower stuff, you shouldn't just jump to conclusions and say that the writers decided to eliminate Taco just because the votes were close. I think you should just trust the JnJ team on these vote counts. Especially since Cary really loves looking at data, and making up numbers for false data wouldn't be something he would ever do.

I agree with you, sadly I feel for this strategy back when I was on of the "kids who watchs BFDI" age group back in 2020/early 2021. I kept voting Flower because of her redemption arc and "niceness" or whatever. Nowadays I can tell that the htwins wanted Flower to win since BFB 17. I find it sad that I feel into this silent scheme. 😔 Post-Split isnt bad though, it's still OK for what it's worth.

Yup. It was rigged. After the split, Cary and others just decided to make Flower slightly nicer. It was pretty obvious for me. And I kinda hated it. Flower didn’t deserve to win. Gelatin did. He actually made an alliance. Unlike Flower, who Leafy just added to the Noobie Alliance. She was just rude, really. As you said, Lollipop and Gelatin were fan favorites. I’m on of the fans. And I was kind of a Flower hater. This is all opinion, but I think you will all say it’s a fact.

Mean flower was incredibly boring in my opinion. She had no personality outside of doing the meanest thing possible for literally no reason. She was a super one-note villain character who didn’t even really contribute anything to the show. BFB actually gave Flower a character, so I’m glad she got her character development and became nicer because it actually gave her depth outside of being mean.

For example, you have pencil and match, who are just petty, blocky (who was a vicious prankster), pen, eraser, and snowball, who are a immature, but funny group, and flower, who was the meanest and who everyone was afraid of. Her transitioning from being a jerk to nice was way too sudden if you really think about her charactee traits. They couldv'e just had her be slightly kind to everyone else, or atleast only be nice towards her friends.

Yeah but it’s believable did you watch the video? This isn’t all about the votes but it was how they treated Flower’s character, Flower used to be the antagonist character who yeah was annoying in the first episode of BFB but in late BFB she was pretty funny and in BFB pre-split it felt like she was trying to improve her personality, sure her mean side did shine a bit but she was still somewhat improving but Post-Split BFB feels like she became Leafy 2.0 (yes I’m using that term) and became TOTALLY NICE WOWOWL out of nowhere and that was because JacknJellify was biased, they added Spongy, Loser, and Balloony (an very odd choice) back in just for the purpose of giving Flower more screentime so the little children voted for her and had her get shit on constantly BFB 27-29 so that the people who shit on her would get eliminated and they also forced her to “save the show” which is stupid cause a lot of people thought it was selfless but no it wasn’t she was pretty much forced to do it, she never offered to use her money and I’m pretty sure it was actually Gelatin who came up with the idea for Flower to use her money, and plus Satomi (someone who works on BFB) confirmed that Flower was supposed to get but since JnJ was biased they were easily able to switch the votes because they were so close and plus becoming a generic nice character doesn’t make her a more interesting character, just makes her boring and one sided, cause of that all the little children would vote for her cause she isn’t mean and her giving her prizes away doesn’t justify shit, still an undeserving character that won a rigged show, Flower becoming nice was just a tool to have her win and you know what? I don’t know why they were so biased, it’s their show and if they want to lie about the votes they can but that doesn’t make it justified, Flower won because Jacknjellify made it so that little children voted for her because she was nice, shit on, and “save the show” and you’re probably just scrolling all the way down because you don’t wanna read all that because you’re one of the children who voted for Flower because of the reasons I listed, read it and weep, I wrote an essay on why Flower didn’t deserve a win, maybe that’s why I’m failing school.
