One member left the group and ever since she left in April there's no news on her, one is still active as a singer and might be releasing solo stuff, one is pretty much a blogger now. Their producer/composer (Yuki Kajiura) also left the agency and will no longer write songs for them. They're still releasing a best album but their actual latest/last single was from August 2017 and their last activity as a group was in March 2018.

Just watched Kara no kyoukai and realised how underrated this anime is if it hadn't been my love for fate I would have never discovered this . I seriously hope more people discover this or ufotable makes a remake in this decade cuz I don't see how this could get more attention otherwise which it rightfully deserve . ​@@andis.9022 I'm pretty sure they did so last year. Yuki Kajiura, the composer for the band, had to quit Spacecraft produce, which she had been working with for many years. Apparently there had been a quarrel with some of the new executives. Nonetheless, she had to leave the band behind, and without their composer they kinda fell apart. One of the former members have actually applied for the trademark ownership of Kalafina, but I don't know whether that has been resolved yet or not. The two other vocalists have done a few live events since, but they haven't released any new music.

Jani Out of all the 4 main Type-Moon works, Kara No Kyoukai is the more complicated one out of them all in my opinion. Aside from not going in chronological order, it's heavy on philosophy and lore/world building. Fate, then Tsukihime are easier to get into if I were to recommend Type-Moon. Kara No Kyoukai 1st for the overall Nasuverse. Giving Kara No Kyoukai a thorough read after the movies has me appreciate it way more.

Haven't played Fate/ Extra...? There is an NPC enemy version of Shiki there under the class Monster that killed 99 Servants and has to kill 1 more to be able to go back... you are supposed to be the 100th kill... Her Void personality though can fight Servants... just on a defensive battle though...

That Shiki was there just for fanservice reasons, just like Arcueid. Normal Shiki shouldn't be able to fight against Servants, they're faster and stronger than her. She can kill them like Shiki Tohno killed Arcueid, using her MEODP while the Servant still doesn't notice her. Void, as you said, could fight a Servant on a defensive battle, but she would probably never win unless the servant is low-tier

I don't think we will ever have more KnK since Nasu has lots of projects now (Mahoyo 2, Tsukihime remake, some Fates) and the story is already finished, but I would love to have more. There's never enough Shiki in our lives. A for the pictures, I try to search for good pictures so I can share them with all of you, I usually search for official pictures or sometimes some really good fanarts. I have more Shiki pictures prepared for the rest of KnK songs :3

That would be nice, but as a hardcore Tsukihime fan that is kinda angry with Nasu because he keeps working on Fate even though he said that he didn't want to make more Fates I'll say that we better wait after the Tsukihime Remake is out to ask for someother novels by Nasu. Well, people say that that adaptation doesn't exist for a reason. It is not only a bad adaptation, it is a bad anime itself. On the other hand, the manga is nice. It covers the worst route imo, but it is still great. And yeah, I understand that there's people that doesn't have enough time to read a VN, but Tsukihime is really short, so if someday you have some time you can spend reading I would recommend it.

@@Crosmando your misunderstanding....every old piece of media pre HD that gets an 'HD' release for example is essentially an upscale from the original non HD source. The only difference is the kind of upscale that's being done. There are types that take the old 4:3 aspect ratio and just stretch it out to 16:9 by cutting off the tops and bottoms of the screen. There are types that use aggressive filter and noise distortion techniques attempt to get rid of any artifacts as a result of the stretching. There are those that preserve the old 4:3 standard while relying on higher bitrate feeds to clean up the image as much as possible. The KnK movies they showed in cinema over 10 years ago now were not designed with a 16:9 aspect ratio in mind when they were created and were produced in 4:3, hence any conversion to another standard would involve upscaling it.

@@Crosmando it depends on what bluray re-release you are talking about sammy. Not all upscaling techniques work the same or are even implemented the same through every remastering project, even if they are the same technique in different cases. For KnK's bluray, the upscale seems to be a simple stretching of the screen with the top and lower half of the screen missing and some minimial filter work going on to smooth over the jagged edges. Its cheap upscaling and fast, even if results are meh.

Hey anyone willing to help me. I'm ready to lose my Type-moon virginity and enter the Nasuverse. I know most people say to play the Fate Stay Night Visual novel first to get into the universe. But since Garden of Sinners was one of the first works of the Nasuverse and introduces some concepts that are seen throughout Nasu's works, people have also said that was a good place to start. Should I watch Kara no Kyoukai or the Fate Stay Night Visual Novel first?
