As a Dead Space fan myself, I was hyped since the first trailer. I wanted to know the setting, the characters, how were the monsters created, and which groups would be important in the story. Then I saw the gameplays from this and the DLC, and I felt more dissapointing than when I saw Tag Der Toten's ending. Lazy and generic weapons (even when they're not compared to Dead Space), *boring* melee combat, no interesting twists, barren worldbuilding, and a crappy real ending to top it off.

I seriously canNOT believe they actually went with the god awful 'it was all just a dream' cliche for this game's actual ending. How did the developers of this game make literally every possible terrible design decision? It's actually impressive. Edit: Like why even do the whole 'it was all just a dream' thing to begin with? Why couldn't they just have Jacob actually attempt to escape, then fail at the very end? Then, realizing that there's no hope for escape, the doctor still does the whole C.O.R.E transfer thing before they both die.

The problem with the combat for people is that they over complicated stuff for themselves thinking it had more to it when in reality it was a simple rhythm mechanic where you go side to side with the joystick or two buttons.

Besides the confusingly simple dodging, it's just fundamentally broken. It's unfun, it's the exact same animations and spamming one button over and over again with little variation and almost every enemy is fought the exact same way.

@@OrionDawn15 exactly. Like it looks like some have differing abilities but their roles are never defined by their abilities instead they occasionally spit at you or turn invisible. But they all constantly run and swing their arms at you. It also doesn’t help that the tentacles thing is with every single enemy type and not just 1 type making that whole thing mundane real quick.

I paid $10 to rent it thinking it can't be that bad. I usually play games on hard but after just one big fight, I gave up and put it to easy. The combat has to be one of the worst I have seen and the story was so predictable that I was rolling my eyes every time something happened. At least Forspoken was trying to do something different, this is bad all around.

Hot take, Hero Factory made better use of the CCBS than G2, and I'm not talking about the aesthetic of the parts being a better match. The entire conception of CCBS is that armor attach point and limb attach points are the same, and that means that smaller sets get to be fully posable with a basic skeleton, whereas bigger sets can make a complex lattices of flexible joints, like say building up realistic shoulder blades. Because even the smallest links still had a free ball joint, armor could still be layered on these larger woven structures, and with technic pins still accessible you could still tie in older Bionicle parts or make certain parts still rigid with classic technic lift arms and bars. Compare the Larger and non-humanoid Hero Factory sets to anything from G2 and you will see that this is exactly what they do, creating interesting non-standard skeletons and layering the existing armor pieces in interesting ways. But lets be honest here, the G2 Toa weren't badly designed, in fact they were great, the gear function was well integrated and the posability and stature of the models was good. No, the real issue is that they made next to no new armor or accent/texture pieces for the series. And that's like the whole point of that third layer, to give different series unique textures, but I guess after the mask and weapons they didn't have the budget. But if thats the case, why even bother trying? Presumably a big reason Lego dropped Bionicle is because they were shying away from series that heavily relied on new and unique molds for every season, why try again if you know that the greebly, kitbashy, texture is what made the series iconic? Regardless, I wanted to mention what CCBS SHOULD have been able to do, because while I can seriously praise the Toa, the bad guys sucked, there were barely any Rahi, and no vehicles, but Hero Factory had all of that, meaning it was not an inherent limitation of CCBS, just a total lack of confidence or ingenuity.

This game proved to be one of the most overhyped, overpromised and underdelivered games in a long time, they seriously cut off the ending of the base game leaving it in a lazy and lame cliffhanger to then sell the actual ending as a separated DLC 7 months later that barely lasts 2 hours and all of it to somehow achieve a worse ending than the vanilla game haha not to mention that there's literally a single new enemy type which are re-used robots from the main campaign but now they're infected cause why not

I hated this DLC so much. I thought the devs were going to explore Cole’s cult and maybe even have you fight him as a mutant for the final boss. There’s a low chance there’s going to be a sequel so making Cole the final boss could have given some finality to the title. But instead, they double down on Jacob’s guilt and have Waller constantly chant at him to keep fighting. Such a lame send off.

This is essentially the game repackaged as DLC expect our protagonist wakes up . 😂 To think I almost wasted another cent on any additional content they had to offer. They should've kept with the original ending. Whichever that maybe because I'm still stuck at one of the boss fights. You spend ten minutes running and dodging then the fucker gets smart and takes a chunk right out of him. 😭
