My moms in the hospital because her heart keeps stopping. She’s faced a life of trauma. I guess who hasn’t. She’s such an interesting human, I love her dearly. I’ve been helping care for her for several years and have felt tired but now that this is happening I feel so deeply saddened. I want her soul back in her body. I pray she wakes up invigorated and at peace with life. I love my mommy. She’s the best mommy there ever has been. This song makes me think of her. Thankful I have lived to know such an awesome woman ❤

I lost my mom to patriarchal violence at a young age, so I imagined her crying and being proud of who I am, where I am going, and how much I honor her life and fight for her and people like her every moment of every day with my actions and my art. Even though this is a live performance, I believe that this would cover as a music video. I love this. It is intimate, yet casual. The grain from either a camcorder or an emulation of one is perfect to recognize the nostalgia of good memories and ever present feelings of familial love.
