It is weirdly fascinating and so fun how your travels are so similar to mine from 25-30 years ago! I love seeing the same areas and how they have changed through your eyes. The foods and wines of the areas are so much an important part of getting the entire experience and you bring that through so vividly!! Thank you George! Keep doing what you are doing and enjoy every minute of it!

@@georgezikoseats2441 I was there many years ago. The markets were much smaller then. I saw lots of ladies that acted like the lady that told you to turn off your camera, but most of the people were very nice.

@@georgezikoseats2441 I found Eastern Europe more like that. I travelled all over Crete and the people were awesome. My Grandfather migrated from there back in the early 1920s. To this day, that is my favorite place. I love seeing your videos of the cities in there. The Palace of Knossos was a great memory. There was a bar right next to it that we went to. I remember they only had one dinner that they served and it was Moussaka. The bathrooms didn't lock and there was just a hole in the floor, lol. Such fun!! I remember the people there being so happy and so grateful. They liked their life to be simple, which I feel, made them happy!

I know all those savours from my childhood - mouth watering. It's important to get some good quality fresh bread with those dips, to really get the best out of them.

The original "mici" recipe is a mixture of lamb and beef, in equal proportions. Pork is a cheaper improvisation.
