Despite his political differences with Kingdom areas, he never hated the people therein to the extent of denying them development or deliberately impoverishing them! He was a fair man. That is a plus for him, it is part of his legacy.

That's very true, he was nationalistic and developme.tal. All M7 has done is to murder ugandans like muslim sheiks, Catholic bishops, people power youths, divide us, lie to us, rob us and destroy uganda etc UTC, UCB, UG RAILWAYS, UG HOTELS, CMB, DC, UCTU, COOP BANK etc. 0:10

That has Always been my take on it, he hated us so much killed almost everyone in my family, friends and neighbours and believed he would live for ever. I was at mengo when he sent his henchmen to remove the King, I never felt so much pain. I knew Mutesa 11 very well.

On this day July 27th 1985 Uganda's president Milton Obote was Overthrown by his Military 🪖! The nation, still recovering from the dark days of Idi Amin’s rule, had hoped for a brighter future under Obote’s leadership. However, those hopes were gradually dashed as his government turned a blind eye to the cries of the oppressed! Big up to Owanapedia the one Stop Center of Uganda's history as they take us back to the events leading to the Military 🪖 Coup and It's after-math. ✍️😷🙏

It seems during Obote time the northerners dominated army, police and prisons but I think it was like historical thing.. may be Westerners saw that profession to be for northerners. But in the ministries we had many from central and western... even after indipendence obote choose westerners to go Russia for studies, he he was not person who used nepotism. In his office he had westerners including Museveni, Rwakasisi, Nathan Kalema these were real banyankole.. there was corruption but it was not like the last 40 years... the country never had a debt like this one 96 trillion ???

The effects of intermarriages, growing up, going to schools away from ancestral homes, and only going home for Christmas will influence one's accent. Mr. Owana, like a growing number of people in Uganda, is cosmopolitan. Also, in today's world, some people belong to a tribe just in name only. When these people visit their villages they become the laughingstock of all relatives because they can bearly hold a flawless conversation in their mother tongue. SMH at urbanization!!!
