This is the Bourmeister version, as opposed to Petipa/Ivanov, and it was first performed in the Stanislavsky in 1956. Bourmeister's choreography/use of the original score emphasizes the psychological complexity of the third act.

Interesting. She plays the part of a girl who depends on her father. She is not a fully evil character. She is always checking that she has daddy's approval. Obraztsova is wonderful as ever. I love the fluidity of her movements and the subtlety of her interpretation - she is afraid, eager to do well. Not seductive as a consequence of her own choice.

I adore this version - the first time I saw it was in a Paris Opera Production - its very moving particularly when he gives Odile the white feather Odette had given him at the end of act 2 !.....when I first saw that I was like NOOOOOOoooo!!!! dont give her the feather !

I love the Bourmeister version, and these two are perfect. They ARE the characters. They are a beautiful partnership, let's not talk about the technique that is perfect. A diabolic Odile and for the first time in my life thanks to Semyon Chudin, I feel pity for the prince. I think Chudin is the only male dancer that makes me feel sorry for Siegfried that he's been fooled and not that he's dumb.

I love everything about evgenia, except her arms. Her port de bras are beautiful and they contain so much elegance and flow, but her first position arms/turning arms are so stiff. She doesn't hold them correctly and they are floppy. Besides her first position arms, she is my idol

She dances very well, it's true, there are many amazing moments, but the roll of Swan Lake is not for her. I don't see the depth of the extreme dechirant bouleversant personalities here. She is perfect in the roll of Juliette.

да уж...лна не в мариинке,и это уже очень сильно заметно!!!...во первых она там не танцевала того,что ей не шло... она-не лебедь это очевидно-тут нужна особая грация,и сильная разница должна быть в исполнении чёрного ...и белого лебедя...в данном случае всё сыро.рыхдл и расплывчато...про талант оркестра Б.Т. испортить даже музыку чайковского-я уже умолчу...
