I love this build, I had a 1985 step side in high school I loved that truck. It was a 300 six 4x4, I think it was worked over by one of the local van shops because it was navy blue and had about 8 miles of pinstripe following every body line on the truck.

@@thedirtheadshed My dad’s 02 TJ he babied and I got after he died. I never can do anything normal and I want to build it with as many Mopar parts as possible and put it on airbags with long suspension travel. I’m going to stretch it to be an LJ and use the TJ rear tub because I never liked how far forward the rear axle was moved in the LJ. I’m also planning to swap the AC compressor to be the on board air compressor and build some air tanks in either the rock sliders or rear bumper.

I have a 85 F-250 and I really think it's the last of the good-looking older fords. Mine is pretty beat up and sadly is the last year before they came fuel injected from the factory but overall, I really like it and the only things, I think I would change in it to make it a better off roader is the Transfer case and switching out the TTB dana 44hd thats in it to a 60.

Totally agree on the front end swap!! I'm excited for you and Fred's KZbins! I loved DED, but there was always so much build detail that had to get glazed over to hit that 25-30ish Min video Time. I can't wait for more in depth fab work and hopefully some how to type stuff!

thank you for all the back story, that was always a miss on DED, that you never heard all the hard stuff, like making off the shelve part work the way you want and or need them too. Keep doing what you do. Its great to see you on YOUR channel, lower rider, mini truck, off road racer dude.
