I wasn't looking for this. The problem I have is that whenever I have OBS Studio open ever, it just prevents me from hearing any audio.

BIG TIP .. windows 10 privacy settings can turn on and block all audio sources in to OBS. I would have never figured it out if in the Elgato capture utility a warning popped to disable the setting it saw engaged. its settings > privacy > microphone and yes even a soundcard falls under its jurisdiction. set to allow access to all apps.

Hi, I was having some issues with my audio and have been looking for what is wrong (I know this is 2 years old now)... Under Audio>Global Audio Devices>Desktop Audio it shows disabled and will not change. I have no idea what to do at this point.

How do you do it if you have like a skytech gaming pc, which does not have a built in speakers but i have usb speakers but everytime it fucks up with the microphone and i cant have both on at the same time and i really need help

My OBS doesn’t seem to have this option. I can see the volume playing but can’t hear it with or without headphones. There doesn’t seem to be any settings option to adjust this. There is a project setting option in the right corner but doesn’t have any of those options that you are showing. Has anyone has this problem?

Hey I have a new pc and my usb mic is compressing music - It only detects speech. I’ve tried changing every setting in OBS and the pc. Any idea what could be causing this?

When I load OBS it removes any and ALL sound that's playing in the background and won't pick it up either. Once I close it the sounds back. Any tips for that? I've gone through and changed the audio settings already, yet all sound is just gone

When I have my astros A40 turned on to my ps4 there’s not audio on my stream/obs. But if I turn off my astros the audio is heard through the stream/obs. Is there anyway I can here it through both?

I have a problem in that I have sound on my laptop through which I stream * obs * and on the wireless headphones in the range on the PC I have no sound or the wrong thing happens to me. What is the problem ?😮

I play VLC, no problem. I open OBS, then VLC plays, but I hear only intermittent vocals. When I close OBS, VLC still does not play. It sounds like OBS changes or hijacks the audio. This happens with Media Player too, but not with another of my audio player software.

The problem is when I play back my recorded video it loses sound about 4-10 seconds into it. Not sure why?

hi guys! i'm not sure if this was mentioned in the video, but if obs doesn't capture any sound, the reason might be you put OBS all the way down in the volume mixer on the bottom right of ur taskbar. hope it helps :)

FelipeKing: I'm in the same boat actually lol, I don't have alot of the stuff people use as extra, but apparently there's supposed to be a way you can increase the volume gain on the desktop audio. I stream record from the xbox, so most of the audio comes from the game volume, but there's supposed to be stuff in advance settings that's supposed to help improve the audio. unfortunately it's not perfect, it's the way OBS is for some reason. unless you have a better audio setup you can use; you kinda have to live with what you have. my laptop isn't the greatest for audio but it's ok.
