While it can have a very high capacity, Merlin generally doesn't run all the trains because the queues are so short anyway. So this brings its capacity down to about 1200 riders per hour.

In 2011 there was a toss up for sponsorship between Fanta and a well known Beer company. Fanta won obviously. The beer company's plan was something along the lines of 'Drink yourself into Oblivion '. They felt that it might be too adult themed, so Fanta won.

The problem with Alton towers is it’s so far behind other parks now yes it’s a great day out when everything is working I’ve been lucky to drop on every time all rides are on but they lack creativity now compared to most European parks
