Being gullible I believed it, because I thought it used its leaf like a helicopter. So I started a new game, and obviously was wrong. That said it made me really appreciate the Chikorita line as my new favorite Johto starter. From that day forward, all of my Meganium have been named "I CAN'T FLY!"

I knew I recognized one of those backgrounds! The background from the second stage (Kiyoko City?) is stolen from Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka the second Secret of Mana game). That means this bootleg had to have been made some time after 1995. There's no actual known date of publication yet, nor is there any info about the developers.

I accidentally got a bootleg copy of Gold when it first came out because Nintendo hates my country and trying to find legit pokemon games use to be the stuff of legends. I'll never forget when my totodile evolved, the mesage displayed instead of "Huh? Totodile is evolving!" was; "The body of Wanana." Now whenever I see anything bootlegged around Gold and Silver, that is the first line that comes to mind for me.

Pokémon SNES bootlegs are definitely my favourite type of bootleg Pokémon games. Highlights include: - The weird Pokémon title screen font - That Upside-Down Pokéball start button - The music stolen from Bonkers, another SNES game - Chokorita (Choke-o-rita! 😆) - Waninoko (Totodile) looks like he's on drugs when running - Chokorita doing the helicopter when she glides - The surprisingly competent sprites used in this bootleg - The Psyduck throwing bones to attack, when it should be Cubone - The characters can be changed during the level, just like another game I've seen, 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue, where you can freely swap between Oddball & Domino. Also can be done in Rocky & Bullwinkle on the NES. - Cyndaquil getting left out. It's just like how poor Little Dipper got left out of 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue. - The weird out of place non-Pokémon enemies (floating red octopus, yellow blue shelled snails, ) - The actual Pokémon enemies (Psyduck, Beedrill, Green Poliwhirl, Caterpie, that pink anime Butterfree, Weedle, Mewtwo, Charmander, Porygon, armless Vileploom, Togepi, Shiny Zubat, Starmie, Pidgeotto, Squirtle, Clefairy) - The crash glitch in Dark Hole "Choko...rita...wasn't it Chikorita? I'm just gonna list all the things wrong with the pokemon I see, starting with the ones specifically named by Yuri. I might get nitpicky, but oh well. That "Oddish... [you] think" is a vileplume, though pretty fat... Squirtle has a Graveler body. That flying crab might be a Kabuto (though I don't know why it's red or flying.) That "normal bat" looked a lot like a shiny Zubat to me. Don't know why it's shiny. Poliwhirl (as mentioned) is entirely the wrong color. I'm not sure what Beedrill's firing, but I don't think it should be firing that. The weedle has a pink belly instead of pink legs on an entirely brown body. Omanite has reversed body-shell colors and mouths for some reason. Psyduck throws bones and should probably be a Cubone or throw something else. Butterfree is pink (which I guess is from the anime, but I don't think it deserves that much credit.) Charmander is very chubby. Porygon is a dull orange instead of hot pink, and has no blue belly. Togepi (I think) was on the screen for about 2 seconds, and was hit as soon as it came on screen, so I can't judge it's regular sprite, but I'll say it's death sprite's mouth is in it's shell and not head. Starmie has nine points not ten. Caterpie has a pink belly instead of yellow. That Pidgeotto's beak... The Clefairy's ears are too thin, and it's color is off. Chikorita can't fly, I guess that extra "o" and one fewer "i" must help. I don't know why Totodile spins when it falls or spins it's eyes when it runs. I can't find too much wrong with Mu, the Pokemon Stadium Bootleg creator did a pretty decent job. Yes, I watched this twice, pausing whenever I found a pokemon not previously in the video to examine it for a few seconds and comment on it, occasionally referring to Serebii for comparison.

I think the "flying crab" is a Paras missing the mushrooms on its back, not a weirdly colored Kabuto. Great eye for catching all those Pokémon though. :)

Kyle Rose Flying Paras with no mushrooms has about as many problems as flying red Kabuto... But I still say it looks more like a Kabuto, as it has a pair of white eyes under the shell and black eyes on it's shell.

+YOM2 But looking at the death animation of the monster, such as at 2:44, white rings are seen around the black dots, looking like eyes. Also, the white parts look more like fangs than eyes since they are curved in a fang - like manner. These features are seen in Paras, not Kabuto. Also, Paras can be orange or red while Kabuto is not, more brownish. Even with the information provided, I can't explain why it flies.

The level with the platforms you fall through is stolen from the SNES game Dino City (at least the graphics are), but none of the other levels seem to be from that game. Apparently they just mashed levels together from several (rather unknown) games. Most of the areas seem familiar, yet I can't put my finger on it
