Possession is control. It means the other team is not dictating how you play and also possession is defense. The opponent can only score or threaten when they have the ball.

Sterling needs more game time. Even when Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus under perform they still get chances. Hence Jesus seems to be recapturing form. The point is he is getting chances to play more so his match fitness and confidence goes up. Sterling needs more tim e. Merino has not been brillaint but still gets time.
