Dave, the Deauville is an excellent choice if you plan on spending all day on it and the Conti Motions work fine, I even raced on the them on a vintage bike because there wasn't much choice for tire size on a "modern" vintage bike, worked great in the rain, and you are heading for John O Groats at the end of the day so its gonna be wet at some point lol

A neighbour bought one of those a few weeks ago! There's a fuel leak and a permanent switch for the radiator fan, lol, but it does run. Are you going to remove/disable the ABS?

I wish I had known about this earlier as I would have offered a donation bike for you (a 1989 FJ1200 with very clean but very much in hundreds and hundreds of pieces carbs and a very rusty internals of a petrol tank but brand spanking new front discs), oh well, looks like I'm stuck with it for another summer cluttering up my garage.

Honda's were a pain for the rear exhaust 😅 my VF1000R you have to put them on before putting the engine in, guess which Muppet has forgotten to do that 🫣🙄
