Frieza’s 5L can reach the dummy if SuperDash is adequately delayed, so there's no dash-jumping involved. Also against certain characters (mostly bulkier ones), if the sequence【… 2M > 3S > 5H > SD > …】 is used which avoids 5H from causing a smash, the stones could still keep those characters in the air for long enough for SuperDash to connect, and you’d have more combo options afterwards. #2 (00:16) - Linking j.M after j.2S, using the discs to buy time for recovery from j.2S. Super-jump canceling 5M creates more separation between Frieza and the dummy after sj.H, giving him more frame advantage from j.2S. If you feel linking j.M is a bit tight, you can change it to j.L>j.M(1hit). #3 (00:35) - Typical double discs combo. Because discs have extra damage scaling, with the same starter the overall damage might be slightly lower than using the j.2S link. Do 2M(1hit)>1S immediately after the first discs and back-dash. After back-dashing, Frieza might still get grazed by the discs if standing. Since the input for discs is 214S, so simply crouch very briefly before finishing the 214 motion to avoid the discs. #4 (01:00) - Golden Frieza solo 100%, punishing guard cancel. The interesting thing about Golden Frieza combos is that, as long as you are not overly using light attacks or 5S, the damage outcome would be very similar regardless of the sequences. I used this sequence for the sake of utilizing Sparking mechanics (e.g. air-dash cancels). Note that after the discs, slightly delay 236L or Lv.1 or both; the goal is to make the explosion of his Lv.1 (when the sphere touches the ground) coincide with the returning discs, so as to ensure SKD on the dummy. Otherwise, the dummy could recover in air after getting hit by the discs due to high hitstun decay. You'd have to test the rhythm in a long combo to know your timing since the discs almost always cause SKD in a short combo. #5 (01:21) - 236S link, probably specific to Cell. I think it might work on a couple other bulky characters but the rhythm could be very finicky. Combining with the j.2S link, this might be one of the more optimal combo routes in terms of damage. #6 (01:36) - More 236S links, this time making use of an assist character to prevent the dummy from hitting the wall after 236S (thus preventing the explosion) and buy time for Frieza to recover. Some other assists like Cell or VegetaBlue would work likewise (as long as the assist character's ending animation last long enough for Frieza to recover from 236S). Also see #9 for another application of this concept. #7 (01:52) - Golden Frieza combo, transform after confirming. If you want to use both hits of 2M before transform, make sure you slightly delay 236L to keep the dummy on the ground level or the 2M after transformation could whiff. No delaying is needed if using 2M(1hit)>236L. A stable Season 2 route has been developed very early, where you simply loop【j.M > j.H > j.L > j.L】two or three times after transform (depending on how you confirmed) and it works nicely on all characters (see example: twitter.com/AlukardNY/status/1168700460364156929?s=20 ). Since I started with a slightly longer confirmation string, I went with a different route which is more akin to his Season 1 combo. Note that one of the downsides of the stable Season 2 route is that if you did everything as fast as possible, after the last loop of 【j.M > j.H > j.L > j.L】you would not be able to link 5S upon landing and have to go straight to 5H. In order to link 5S for more damage you'd need to slightly delay during your last loop to decrease the juggle height. #8 (02:14) - Meterless corner route for Golden Frieza, applicable to all characters with some adjustment on rhythm. Say, against smaller characters you’d need to slightly delay j.L after j.H to let the dummy fall to a lower height before getting picked up by j.L, allowing Frieza to be high enough for dj.M>dj.2S after double jump cancel. Ray Gun is probably the most difficult part of this combo. First of all the air DR needs to be as low as possible and not held to minimize height. Then, upon landing and receding from his Golden Form, you need to delay Ray Gun’s input by just a very little bit; too much and Ray Gun would miss the SKD duration of the dummy, too little and knockdown Lv.3 would miss because it takes time for Frieza to fully lay down before he can use the knockdown Lv.3 and the dummy needs to still be in crumbling status. #9 (02:37) - Team 100% with Black and Android 18, starting with a little more than 1 bar, lv.1 Sparking. Showing another way of body-blocking the dummy from the wall after 236S for combo extension. The later part of this combo is extremely tight, to the point that if there were any unnecessarily delay, the dummy could instantly recover after the Vanish even if there is smash animation. #10 (03:08) - Frieza solo Sparking combo from 2H. The trick to getting the 2M after each 【j.M(1hit) > j.2S > air dash dj.M】is to delay the dj.M after air dashing, such that Frieza would be closer to the ground after. If you find 2M too difficult to connect after landing, you can compromise by using 5L, i.e. 【..., j.M(1hit) > j.2S > air dash dj.M, 5L ~ j.M(1hit) > j.2S > air dash dj.M, 5L ~ air combo】. The required delaying is a by-product of his j.M buff (faster on startup than in Season 1), as his slower j.M in Season 1 naturally causes him to hit the dummy at a height very close to the ground. #11 (03:26) - Team 100% with Android 17 and Goku Blue, starting with 2H and 0 bar, lv.1 Sparking. The timing for Goku Blue before the second 214S can be a bit tight, luckily his 5S on the sixth hit pushes the dummy upward a bit (wall-splat). Using Janemba's assist instead of GokuBlue's would make it much more lenient. #12 (03:58) - j.H-5L link, applicable to the usual targets (i.e. Cell, Hit, Beerus, Broly, ...). #13 (04:17) - Golden Frieza corner meterless combo after confirmation, to show he can loop on small characters as well. #14 (04:33) - Golden Frieza j.H-5L links. I tried going for a third link but unfortunately there is not enough hitstun due to the required delay after SD, though you can still do another 【2M > SD > j.L > j.M(1hit) > j.H】string without delaying can extend with an assist afterwards. #15 (04:52) - Golden Frieza midscreen side-switch combo, applicable to characters with a big enough hurtbox for the cross-under 5M. Of course you can just bring the dummy back to the corner after the first time, but I already ended too many combos with the corner discs string, so I went for another cross-under 5M instead. #16 (05:10) - Golden Frieza solo 100% ending with Lv.1 super, lv.2+ Sparking. The starter of 5M > j.H is specific to Cooler. For other taller characters (e.g. Broly and A16) you'd need to add j.M before j.H. To get the cross-over after air-dash canceling, make sure you did 【j.M(1hit) > j.2S】 quickly enough. #17 (05:36) - Golden Frieza solo 100% without Sparking, using Ray Gun and knockdown Lv.3. On paper, the damage from using Lv.1 and knockdown Lv.3 would likely get you 100% as well, but I wanted this ender and didn’t test that. Hitstun decay is also very high for the discs to cause SKD, so the timing could be very stringent if using Lv.1. Again, the main route is applicable to all characters, but the delaying needed for smaller characters could make it much much more difficult.

For the double disc combo (#3), I found you just need to delay the second disc *very* slightly. Frieza's hitbox drops by the smallest amount at the end of a backdash animation (you can seem him physically duck at the end of the animation). Good visual cue is to input 214S when you see him duck during backdash. By that point the disc has risen enough where he won't get clipped by it.

This one in particular takes the game mechanics to its limits and you're just insane when it comes to utilizing everything a character has. I mean, most of them work for different situations so it's hard to make a tier list... But in terms of *only combo extension,* I'd put these near the bottom (names in *bold).* - *_Videl:_* as a single-hit forward-striking assist that keeps the opponent at almost the same juggle height, the other ones like Bardock and Ginyu are simply better than Videl. - *_Hit:_* as a single-hit forward-striking assist that pushes the opponent upward, Hit's kick is way inferior in terms of coverage (hitbox and active frames) than those like Majin Buu, Tien, Zamasu, Trunks, or even Bardock and Ginyu if you are close to the ground. - *_Kid Buu:_* this is one of the worst for air combo extension because it only activates if it touches the opponent in its startup stage, plus it does not have vacuuming effect and the opponent could easily pop out from the tip of the ball. - *_Krillin:_* this can be used for juggling after an air combo, but in terms of horizontal range you have Tien, Zamasu, A21 and a few others for the same effect, and in terms of hitstun it's probably the worst. - *_A18:_* no combo extension capability at all except in a few finicky situations. - *_AGohan:_* as a single-hit uppercut assist, due to how short his uppercut travels and that he tracks your character's position instead of the opponent's, this assist almost always misses its target midscreen if used after a slightly higher air combo, so it's almost only useful in the corner. Alternatives like TGohan, Cooler, and even blast assists like Nappa or A16 would work much better given the same situation.

@Xiao It's impressive that you have maxed out Frieza and everything but how is it you know for a fact that this wasn't possible in season 1 I have only recently subscribed to you as I have been impressed by you're vids, thing is my understanding of patches, or revisions of games is that over time they become more stable meaning season 1 was more broken than season 2, and everyone including myself and yourself has improved skill wise over this course of time, so how do we know it wasn't personal limitation back then in season 1? Don't get me wrong my execution is not god like, but in season 1 I found that sparkling grounded combos only worked on specific character tall characters, but then that might have been my limitation. So in general this maxing out of "Freiza", is it more to do with you're own personal growth as opposed to what might have still been hidden in the game before, as I haven't seen anyone else max out Freiza like this lol. This is a question btw .

(Are you referring to something I stated in the pinned comment?) In general the directly reason that some things wouldn't work in Season 1 is buff/nerf. In Frieza's case, the startup of his j.M has been sped up significantly in v1.15, which means he has more levitation time in the air after both hits of j.M, which directly affects his height after each Golden Frieza loop, thus giving you a much bigger room for rhythm adjustment than before and more ways to loop as well. Shorter j.M also means less hitstun decay, which in this game is not just affected by how many moves have been used but also how much time has passed. The startup of his discs is also noticeably decreased. In Season 1 there's no way you can follow a 5H smash with discs unless you are at a certain specific distance from the corner and the distance is character-specific. Now following 5H smash with discs is almost guaranteed as long as he's not more than half a screen away from the corner, and the result is that he can pile up at least 500 more damage before using Vanish or Super than in Season 1. For example, the 100% combo on Cooler shown in this video wouldn't have worked in Season 1 without these changes.

No disrespect intended btw, its just that i didn't take note of the finer details of the game such as his 5H into discs not working in season 1, me and my imagination. Btw i've been meaning to ask during certain videos you will do SD at the lowest possible height do you normally do 66 - m half the time to catch them as I keep whiffing it lol a good example of what i'm trying to get at is you're previous Janemba combos in some of them I notice you will extend the combo by doing SD which I normally refer to as homing dash, while being able to land before the opponent and still keeping the enemy in the air at the lowest possible height, how is this done is it 66 during the SD? I made some explanation here for Jiren's j.H-5L link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ip_EaI2kfJKkqac In short, since j.H knocks the dummy downward (faster than your character falls), if you'd want to catch the dummy below with 5L, the only rationale is that you have to land much earlier despite the dummy being falling fast, so j.H needs to connect at a very deep position with its tip grazing the bottom tip of the dummy's hurtbox in the air, and your character needs to be very close to the ground when j.H connects so that 5L can be done earlier.

Every time I look at Xiao’s combos I get depressed. They are so good. I’m trying to pull some of them off but I simply can’t do it. My fingers can’t keep up with the controller and I think I’m just too crap in overall. I main Tien, Yamcha and Nappa/Hit/Krillin and I’m doing pretty good online, but it’s so basic compared to Xiao. This is impossible for me. Great video as per usual. You’re inhuman.

Matheus Vasiliauskas Soares Thank you! Apart from Yamcha, which is popular thanks to his assist- Tien and the rest are quite rarely seen online and that does give me an edge sometimes. I’m having lots of fun using them, but also Tien and Yamcha (And Chiaotzu) are my favourite characters in the DB franchise :-)

I hope in the next game they give Freeza his "Raiden" style headbutt. So many moves they didn't give Freeza and other characters. I want characters to have more tools individually, and assist type select will open a world of possibilities. C'mon, ASW!😩
