How did you do that medal glitch

We recently discovered that when you're buying stackable items, if you double tap A very quickly (within 2 frames) at the end of the dialogue (when they say I'll put this in your rucksack, or something like that) then the game will allow you to buy up to 99 of that item, even if you don't have the money for it. You only need enough money to buy 2 of that item. In a normal store, at the end, you will have no gold, but 99 of the item. If you do this exploit in the casino, however, instead of having 0 medals, the value underflows and you end up with 1 billion medals. You just need to buy enough medals to afford 2 bell pepper seeds (300 medals, or 3000 gold), buy 1 bell pepper seed, and when roller says he will put the item in your rucksack, double tap A very quickly. You will see text at the top that gives the description of your axe. Now you can press left or right shoulder to buy more seeds than you can afford, which causes the underflow, giving you 1 billion medals. :)

This is called the Quick Purchase Glitch. We recently discovered that when you're buying any stackable item, if you double tap A very quickly (within 2 frames) at the end of the dialogue (when they say I'll put this in your rucksack, or something like that) then the game will allow you to buy up to 99 of that item, even if you don't have the money for it. You need enough money to buy 2 of whatever item it is, buy 1 item, and when the shopkeeper says they will put the item in your rucksack, double tap A very quickly. You will see text at the top that gives the description of your axe. Now you can press left on the D pad or right shoulder to buy more items than you can afford. At the end you will have no money, but 99 of the item. You can also do this in the casino medal shop to underflow your number of medals. It can take some practice as you have to be very quick!

Just out of curiosity, why use DS instead of DS Cute? I know DS has more glitches and exploits at your disposal, but I don't remember if any of them tie into getting sprites back? I'm really interested in speed running DS Cute in whatever percent this is, if it's possible!

I run DS Cute as well :) you can check my channel for that run, it's very similar to this, but there's some changes because some glitches do not work in Cute. Right now the WR time for Cute is actually faster than the boy version. Speedrun.com has separate leaderboards for this game, and you can find my route notes there as well.

How did you level up so quick the milk maker. I mean you grow up to lv 1 and then it start to hire 1 by 1.... O.o

It's a bug in the NA version of the game. Once you reach level 1 each use increases the tool level by 1.

How do you know where to water for the 3 watering sprites

At the very beginning, I set the date and time of the DS and when I start the game, I have to hit New Game on a specific frame. The placement of the hidden water sprites is determined by the date and time and the frame that you start the game. If you start the game with all the same conditions every time, they will always be in the same places. I know that I have the right "world generation" or "seed" because the items in the field by the goddess pond during the intro will also always be the same. It's not too hard to do if you do exactly what I do in the beginning of the video.

I did play on emulator in the beginning, but I bought a DS and a capture card recently. It's a lot easier and more fun to play now!

@@kurayamiblackheart The touchscreen controls are easier on console, I don't know if load times are any different on emu. I plan on eventually doing the different marriage runs for DS and DS Cute, but I don't know when yet.

It should work in the 1.0 version and the 1.1 version, as well as Cute. Are you able to do the quick purchase glitch in another store? It takes some practice to do

Unfortunately I'm really not familiar with what glitches do and do not work in the PAL/EU versions of the game :( the glitchy-est version we know of is the NA 1.0 version, which is what I play with.
