Well, the best XYLOPHONE play can only be found in the BUSOGA region[Uganda] where its called EMBAIRE. The polyphonic tunes are usually accompanied by dance but not a must.

This instrument is called akadinda. It is a large twenty-two-key xylophone in which they keys are freely set on two supporting logs running perpendicular to them.

Great perforamnce. I love it. In Buganda they play a xylophone very similar to this one. Three musicians too, but only 12 keys. It's called amadinda. Playing amadinda is like obubaire something special. If someone likes to understand how the different parts fit together, watch my video animation of a traditional song called "ssematimba ne kikwabanga".

Out of curiosity, are the two who start playing their same pattern over and over again without change? It's hard to hear.
