In my interpretation, it feels as though the one being killed *wants* to be killed. Perhaps it's the way his eyes are designed. There's just something in his expression-a silent plea, almost as if he's tempting the other to end him. He seems to crave his own demise.

I think this song was inspired from the story of Julius Caesar, where he was betrayed by his closest aid, almost son to him, Brutus and stabbed to death. The betrayal was so gruesome that we now have the word “ Brutal “ and it also left Rome in a jeopardy.

I don’t know if this was intentional, but the wheat in the background and everywhere in the story seems to be a prominent motif in the animatic. It reminds me of a story in the Old Testament of the Bible, about Cain and Abel. The story of those who were brothers, but one was jealous of the apparent “favoritism” he was getting from their God. And so he wanted to be him but knew he couldn’t, and so he lured his brother out into the fields of wheat and killed him. This seems so much like what happened in the animatic!! Beautiful storytelling in all the frames :DDD

I really love the detail you add here!!! When the video start, i noticed the Nyctographic alphabet on the top left corner. If I'm not mistaken, it translate to "Act 1". In 0:27 and it changes to Act 2; Act 3 in 1:22; Act 4 in 1:50; the last act (act 5) in 2:44. Before going to the act 2 (0:25), there's a banner that says "The golden child chosen every decades." Also, the word in 1:04 Translates to "Frater Meus" which means "Brother" or "Dear Friend". (Correct me if i'm wrong) Your characters and art style is truly beautiful, this is honestly so good !!

Latin is such an interesting language. I like how she incorporates the Rex. It’s especially significant considering that the people of Rome were strongly against the rule of kings after the cruel tyrant Tarquin the Proud killed the previous Rex and stole the throne for himself. Becoming a Rex not only made you the source of envy and extreme distaste from the citizens but pretty risky business. With Caesar making a name for himself throughout Rome in his conquests and becoming sole consul for Rome, it’s no surprise that Brutus and other senators would conspire against him.

I love brutus animatics sm and this one is by far the best one ive seen yet! Not only is the art STUNNING, but the storytelling rlly like RLLY good!
