If you google Evan Marien, you can find his bandcamp page. This track is on there along with others. Although this particular version is not on the bandcamp page. You can pay any price for his tracks! I absolutely love this duo though. Amazing stuff!

@MisterMan3OOO What Goku6612 was saying is that Dana and Spanky really play nothing alike. Dana is a Jazz head with other influences where Spanky is a New Age Gospel Cat with other influences. The under pinnings of their styles hinge on that point of reference and the way they physically play ie match grip traditional grip and the techniques they use to create the sounds they make. Check out Chris Dave to see where spanky style comes from, and check out Vinnie Colaiuta to see Dana's

@goku6612 No harm intended..it was a compliment to mention Dana's name N da same sentence as Spanky's, but as a marching band drummer once told me after I just knew I threw down on the set, "Enjoyed ya' but, it's all been done before and can therefore be done again. Just ask the 40 international drum rudiments. But, it's how the timing, placement, dynamics and precision align up like stars that make it nice and different." didn't mean to lecture, but hearing good drumming does that to me

@DasWuddItB sorry for the delay in the responce, but no I'm not a youtube aficionado. I live here in Atlanta and for the breif time Dana was here I got to check him out in several musical situations. I will admit that I do not have the intimate knowledge that you have of him, but to say that he is a new school gospel drummer because 6 years ago he played mostly gospel is like saying an 8th grader can't go from being the runt of the liter to a beast on the court sophmore year in college.

Nice Spanky McCurdy-manship' Lol....I like it though cause you're actually paying attention to the track that you're comping too and NOT just soloing all over the place with no awareness of accents and timing like some cats I see. You don't forget where the "8" is at. Keep Up the Good Work!

@DasWuddItB No man he's not he may have grown up gospel in Maryland he may even play Gospel music most of us do, however Dana is a Jazz head. Check him out with Esperanza spalding just watch him play in general. There is a palpable difference in styles. Compare a great Gospel Drummer like Calvin Rodgers to a Jazz influenced Bryan Blade. you'll see they are both incredible but play nothing alike. This rule Applies here as well. Dana is a Jazz drummer who can play with the best gospel cats.

im pretty sure these two guys are "trying" to sound like Hadrien Feraud... "these sounds are original, any relation to other songs in real life is purely coincidence" . . . with this kind of shit, it's almost impossible not to sound like something else... or maybe you're right, but I doubt it, these guys have enough creativity to come up w their own shit.
