I haven’t seen anyone talk about this, so I’m going to explain; she was taking off her shoes when she tried to jump every time because in Japan, people take off their shoes before jumping to let people know that it was a suicide, and not a murder.

There’s some other things too: 1, obviously what you explained 2, in the song, (the one with art and animation) there’s flowers on her desk , in Japan, it’s traditional to put flowers on someone’s desk if they pass away. However, if the person is still alive then it means they basically want you to die. 3, in the same song/scene I talked about in number 2, there’s kanji on the girl’s desk; “shine/死ね/しね", in Japanese, it means "die", meaning, they also want you to die. 4, in the song, the girl was actually talking to herself/convincing herself not to jump. There was no "other person". 5, in the song, she never actually killed herself because at the end of the song, she saved herself from jumping off right before she committed suicide.
