I always felt that Ryan and Taylor made more sense than Ryan and Marissa. The latter always felt toxic, where as Taylor always challenged Ryan and helped him grow. He also brought the best out in Taylor, and Taylor helped Ryan realise that life goes on.

The latter was toxic because of many things that happening of their control. Whenever it was the two of them alone it was where there were the happiest. They went through so many obstacles together. They deserved a better ending.

ya, the problem with that is that Ryan and Seth drove Marissa to TJ after Seth overheard Summer needing a ride while hanging out with Ryan at his job.. So... It's just a show though so whatever.. She stayed home from TJ because she wanted to be with her dad cuz he was stressed.. Then he told her to go and so she caught a ride with Summer, via Ryan and Seth. There's a good chance she would have died in TJ anyway if she'd somehow found a ride.. Or just some other time..

Evan Luke Swaine he is in a coma and he was hanging lighta with Taylor and fell. He pretty much was dreaming.... they so know him but in this dream while he was in a coma was like him dreaming what woukd have happened if he didnt come to newport to live i gueas you could say. Havent watches this acturual episode in forever but what i said is why it may seem confusing that make sense if not ill try to explain another way. Let me know ill also check. 😍😍😍

The episode takes place in Ryan’s subconscious and it shows that marissa died in Tijuana after she overdosed on summer’s mom’s painkillers after catching Luke cheating on her and because Ryan didn’t exist in that alternate reality no one could save her Taylor assumed she was alive but it was actually Kaitlin arriving at the airport and she told Ryan what happened
