I remember riding 9137 on the 87 with my mom in Canada Day before i rode the D60LF's in service back in 2004. That was 12 months before 9137 retired.

@octranspo9137 - Was that in your video info before? I seem to recall checking there before posting. If it was, I am sorry, somehow I missed that.

Nice! When did you record this? I know it had to be at least 4 years ago.

why did they get rid of them, when there where buses that where older the should have went to retirement

These particular Orion Vs had severe rust and corrosion issues due to being overused. They were not built as strongly as the Classics or D40s so the Orion Vs were toast. The 1997-1998 Orion Vs were much better in terms of build quality and retired until 2011. Those were retired for non-accessibility which made no sense to me considering they could have been used on school routes. The 1991-1992s started retiring in May 2005 and the last one survived into July 2007.

I don't see how this bus has severe rust and corrosion issues. But whatever that saying is so dumb.

@@newflyerindustriesfan2216 around the subframe and suspension would rot out real bad especially with the weather conditions up there. It's very visible underneath the bus
