The pup looks really nice, and smooth. I’ve learned that when they have knots in their hair to use a flea comb, which doesn’t cost much, their hair is like our hair. You comb from the bottom of The matted area and work your way up so it doesn’t hurt them. The pup looks nice, however I’m pretty sure if you “ man handled “ any of my pups I’d have a tough time the second time around with them unwilling to go for a hair doo! They honestly should have a great experience going to have their hair done, just like a vet, if he/she’s rough on them, it would make my pups experience not good, & not wanting to go. They are so intelligent little creatures, I can watch my pups on weather it was a good visit or not, the second time around... they had a bad experience and how their reactions were told me everything I needed to know. We found two remarkable gals, all four of my pups enjoy the experience there. ( just to keep in mind). 🌹

I wish more nongroomers tried grooming themselves. I am a groomer and "manhandling" is not abuse. It's to keep your pet safe. We are working with incredibly sharp blades and shears. If you just allowed your dog to do st their will or have a lax-idasle approach, more dogs would be injured and more injuries would ensue. Grooming is not meant to be fun for your pet. I understand the need as a parent to feel this way but until you pick up clippers and shears yourself and find out how difficult it actually is to groom in the first maybe more pet parents would understand a groomers point of view. Often times parents do not train their pets for groomers and we groomers have to pick up the slack. We are a highly misunderstood occupation that often times meet with insensitive, impatient and rude parents. Before you comment on grooming, try geooming a dog yourself and then tell a groomer how to groom. We "man handle" so we do not injure your dog, period. What's funny is when an injury dows happen "because we are human" parents are usually furious and offended, as if we did it on purpose and forget what we hold in our hands.

Reverse clipping is actually my favorite. You rarely have to go over the hair twice. It creates a perfect formula for a even coat.

@@candicejoi5799 and until you groom your own dog Candice, you'll continue to think it's the groomers fault. Your dog could be an ass and hate grooming in general. I get bit daily but you'll NEVER hear me tell an owner to train their dog because THEY NEVER WILL. A lot of people believe a groomer is emotionless and without fault. That we cant make mistakes. Total BS. Your.dog probably comes back from the groomer scared because it has no kennel training, not exposed to loud noises, not brush trained or even just standard stop stay and no training.

@@malorie8557 Oh Malorie you silly girl.. Actually i do groom my own dog and im self taught dear . She was and still is professionally trained for your information. I've always made sure to expose her to various socially uncomfortable situations. And have never had a groomer or anyone else for that matter complain about her behavior. She is also brushed 2 times a day because as a morkie with long hair that is requirement to keep her tangle free along with proper conditioning treatments. And i always make sure to tip generously when she has gone to groomers because i know some don't get the recognition and pay that they should. So don't ever make an assumption about me or my girl unless you have facts. And with your nasty ass attitude it makes sense that your bit.

And yes, It is much easier now, when she is almost 6month old:-)I can not only brush,but also do a detail comb brushing around eyes,I do make her little ponytail every day...daily practise is everything.I also cut her back and shaped her ears. So If you have a yourk puppy,just brush him or her every day, since you get them home,be patient and It is gonna be ok.
