The OCBC Cycle National Championships 2022 Mountain Bike Downhill Race Course Preview by Singapore Cycling Federation Vice-President for Mountain Bike, Faroz Marzoki.
Kent Ridge Downhill Track is home to local gravity riders in Singapore and many are very familiar with the downhill track. This year however, there are new features added to the race course such as abandoned stairs, natural off-cambers and steep chutes. The objective is to put the racers to the test of their handling skills, fitness and push the limits of their bike technology.
The race course is longer and has slight tweaks from the previous years. This includes elements from various riding disciplines such as tarmac sprints from Cross Country racing, rollers which can be gotten from BMX racing, natural loam which many trail weekend warriors will love and stairs which has a bit of urban influence to it.
