“We treat OCD; we’re not treating the topic.” _So_ astute. Thank you!

One thing that might make someone feel depressed when the OCD thoughts tone down is that the OCD has beat them up so badly, they just don't care about their lives at all, then the OCD can slow down because they just don't care any more, but this makes them depressed. In other words, depression may slow down the OCD thoughts? Just me thinking out loud.

Doing better with HOCD but it's beat me down so much. I feel drained mentally but I'm still willing to fight.

im experiencing a false memory rn.....my anxiety is so bad ik it’s false but i get these “what if” thoughts like what if it’s real??im suffering so much....
@Jadenmic2 жыл бұрын
I suffer in that way too. I've realized you have to look at it as OCD. Put the memory to the side and realize this is OCD. If it's new, and you never worried before, or done anything like it, then it is OCD. You have to attack the OCD and accept uncertainty - and it will help slowly.

Does it get better ? Because I really feel like I'm loosing my mind 😭

I hate the guilt and disgust feeling, yesterday i had a pretty depressing day. Ppl kept saying” u are just bi/gay and a paedophile, There’s no such thing as SOOCD or “POCD aint a real thing” .So i tried to accept that and move on but... i would still feel disgust every time a paedophilic thought came in... SOO i don’t know if it’s repression 🤷♂️ maybe, maybe not

It is a real disorder. And so many people struggle with it. If you wanted to be that thing you wouldn't worry so much about it and feel repulsed by it. See if you can't join a group of people struggling as well. So you can get some support rather than listening to critics

Thanks for this video and all your videos . I have been struggling with false memory ocd , after a night of drinking my ocd decided to attack my POCD theme and when I spoke to my phycologist about it he simply said there isn’t any ERP to do for that because there is simply no memory so just go on and live your life . I have been using your maybe or maybe not response and it has been helpful . It was deflating when he told me I couldn’t do anything to recover . Any thoughts on this

Honestly. I feel like sometimes I don't get any anxiety or fear with old thoughts, new thoughts anymore. Of course, I start thinking if that means I like it or I'm crazy. But I'm thinking that I've just had ocd for so long that my emotions are just tired of working, specifically for the same thing. Also, I have a thought that what if the longer I go through this ocd theme makes it come true.

Hey Nathan, when I keep doing ERP for some time, and sometimes I fail to do it and surrender to compulsions, will this ruin all of my progress towards treating OCD, as if I will start from zero?
@ishakawade91003 жыл бұрын
Not at all it doesn't ruin its okay but keep going for erp never give up for in the end that's 2hat makes us feel better

Someone told me once that fighting OCD is like playing tennis. You can't win every ball but you can still win the match. So as Isha Kawade also responded to you. Don't worry too much if your compulsions win a ball every once in a while. It is about keeping up the good work and keep trying to win :)

Hello! Is it normal with ROCD that i don't feel anything since a while (feelings, thoughts, anxiety, panic attacks,compulsions etc) and i just think i've never had rocd. I still have a small feeling that makes me feel like i don't love my girlfriend but it is mixed with numbness towards her. And i don't know if i want to love her , I'm confused. But at the beginning (few months ago i had bad symptoms)
@lalalala58223 жыл бұрын
I also don't miss her anymore but it is like that since few months too. And i don't really know how the feeling of love is anymore
