Man ole man, so many memories of that place. My parents would take me there every year from 2 years old until my late teens. Haven't been there since around 2007. Dumsers does have good ice cream. The Caremal pop corn is good especially when it's hot and Fishers. The shops are good to look in. Candy Kitchen has great walnut fudge.

Some other points of interest if you're coming to Ocean City...Assateague Island offers miles of white sandy beaches (but less crowds) and the famous wild ponies...only 5 minutes away is Berlin, voted America's "coolest town" where you can find antiques, eateries, and unique handcrafted gifts. During summer, avoid coming into town on a Saturday when there are miles of backups. That's when the weekly guests turnover and new guests come to the hotels.

Hi family. Thank you so much for doing the videos in OCMD. I have been going there for 20+ years and haven't been to nearly the places that you have shown to me. I usually stay at the Clarion which is at the other end of the shore with no boardwalk. It's nice and quiet but not much to do without driving. But this year my wife and I are going to stay at a hotel on the boardwalk. We are going to try to stay at the Commander Hotel, do you know anything about the hotel? Thanks again for all your videos, and thanks to the Mrs. too. And the other locations that you have been to.

I’ve been doing so much research and planning my gf is getting annoyed lol. Do you have any experience with either the OC Rocket or Sea Rocket? Not sure which is better. Also have you ever been on the Safari tour? We really want to see some dolphins while there. Also looking into the Gateway hotel and the Safari Motel. Both allow me to not have to pay up front and can cancel a few days in advance if something comes up or weather is terrible. Could you look on the map and tell me which section is the “better “ section to be in. I know gateway is short walking to the boat rides and parasailing

Im a research guy too. Been going to oc for over 50 years. Both oc rocket and sea rocket are great. Grab a tour book as soon as get there they are all over town and will find discount tickets on these and many other attractions. Never did safari tour and never heard of that. You sure that is in oc? I'll put that one on my list.

Both hotels look like great locations. Real close to boardwalk and walk just about anywhere from each place. The safari is close to brass balls do not miss the biscuits. It is 12 blocks to rides but very nice walk. I have stayed on 20th street many times and still very walkable. 👍👍

When you are swimming in ocean you will see dolphins swimming by usually morning and late afternoon from the beach. Seen them many times from the shore. Walk out on fishing pier and you may see them from there too. 🐬🐬🐬

I’d stay at the Gateway motel as they are closer to the inlet where most of the best stuff on the boardwalk is below 10th street. I’ve stayed at the safari motel before and I don’t believe they have a pool and the rooms were dated as are many of the family owned hotels in ocmd. I’ve never done the safari tour but you can easily drive to assateague island and see many wild ponies. I stay away from the tourist traps like the boat rides.

Grotto’s pizza is the best by far, much better than dough roller! And you missed the old time digger machines in the back of Playland. Paul Revere Smorgasbord is also a good place to eat along the boardwalk but not as good as Phillips which of course is not on the boardwalk. You missed saying bikes can only be rode on the boardwalk in the morning as well.

Scum bag Phillips closed last year. They were really good until playboy son was buying crabs from dirty lack of quality control Communist china. Years ago we used to visit all three Phillips location in OC. Have not purchased any French fries from Trashers because they refuse to supply ketchup. Not many places in OC serve great hoagies. We purchase halve price Jolly Rogers tickets on black Friday for the grandkids.
