How scientists, ocean farmers, and policymakers are looking to kelp as a sustainable solution to some of the toughest issues facing our world today.
As our climate continues to change and food insecurity grows worldwide, scientists and others are looking to solve these problems without harming marine ecosystems.
Learn how seaweed aquaculture has the potential to play a major role in creating climate-friendly food systems for a growing population and to produce new types of carbon-neutral animal feeds, fuels, and other products for a more sustainable future.

I have a chunk of seaweed added to my tea cup in the morning then I eat it after. I'm from Alaska and eco harvester of the coast in the summers. I eat dulcet and the Irish white one is tasteless I put in my soup and smoothly. It's easy to add in your life as it's mainly saline with a nice crunch. I've been anemic most of my life now not anymore. I'll dry it use it like a mushrooms. I've bought in sprouts but it looses its texture and good juice. So glad to sell it live. I eat spirulina live too not dead dried pilled. It's also slightly saline, a tablespoon then chase with drink of tea kelp! 2010 was when I started no one was growing up in Alaska, now they're doing well, not as long as Eastchester. Was denied to grown in ChulaVista,CA coastline as it was a past farm used for gunpowder only. Then the California coast was banned but in LaJolla Woodshole. So glad it's finnnaly coming out of the closet all these years! Now vitally necessary to grow and eat to bring back the heath of our bodies and brain. Yay! Kelpy and Dulsie marry and have babylishiousness! Harvest it before it gets to shore the sargassom don't be negative, the ocean is growing it for a reason off the shore of Florida and people hate it, hated all my life until I had hand surgery and the seaweed was calling me to heal my scars and over weight, it has kept me from being diabetic since 50 yrs old, 65 now going on 28! I've needed it then and we'll as now. It's more a live vitamin everymorning! It does have an ick mental factor people need to release. I love the textures it provides smooth and crunchy, absorbs any flavor!
