I would love an electric guitar just for the freedom you have over the strings, the action on higher frets is usually much lower on most electric guitars which makes it so much more comfortable to play. Hoping to pick up a nice one soon, does having a better amp change the experience at all?

In my opinion, Having a decent amp definitely will impact your playing experience. But there are plenty of cheap options. Along with computer amp simulators it is easy to get a great tone for a low price

Hey, thanks for this, I'm gonna try to learn it on my guitar! Unfortunately all I have is an old beat up First Act ME537 that really sucks, it's action is higher than the heavens and if I lower it, it has all sorts of crap wrong with it. It breaks pretty frequently as well. I can't afford a new one at the moment, I'm only 13, but hey, gotta work with what I got!

Hey Daniel, in this video I just used a super clean sound. low gain, bass around 4-5, treble around 6-7. To get the sound that you hear on the record you are going to need a fuzz pedal. or possibly cranking the gain up could get you close!

Mathews it could definitely sound decent on acoustic. But in order to match the sound on the album an electric guitar is recommended. It also is going to be more difficult to bend the strings on an acoustic guitar
