In this scene Sinatra stops Romero from calling the cops. This is cute because when this film was made, the mob still ran Las Vegas, so if somebody really had ripped off casinos back then, the cops would be the least of their worries.

The remake is a bore. The major difference between now and then is that the actors of 1960 were “naturally” cool and lead cool lives. The actors of the refake had to “act” cool. They are far too PC and have to lead PC lives to be acceptable to a modern audience. Give me the old school bad boys who drank until 4:00am in the morning and chased women for the rest of the day. Cardboard Clooney is no Sinatra and pompous Pitt is no Dino.

I agree, a movie like this can never be redone to the same standards of the original, how they acted in this movie for the most part was life imitating art, unfortunately we will never ever see talent today that upholds the same standards of class that Frank Sinatra Dean Martin, Sammy Davis JR and the rest of the Rat Pack had. also along with the Tenors and Crooners through the 50s/80s, Music will never be that classy again. Thankfully Tony Bennett and Bobby Vinton are still alive, these Hollywood actors today cant hold a candle to them, now they all spew there left wing redirect to everyone and I'm sick of it, its nauseating.
