This video is amazing and looks like the most perfect trip. Now that you have had time to rest and calculate expenses...can you tell us what the total cost of your trip was? Also, when was your trip? I hear that December is a great time to go to Antarctica, but you posted this at a different time of year. What suggestions do you have to get on this cruise as far as deals, time of year, excursions, etc...?

@watchuswonder do you remember how much the laundry fee was on Ocean Victory? Also, how much the drink package was? And if there is a fee for kayaking? I have tried googling, but no pricing that I can find.

Hello! Thanks so much for checking out our video :) We did not use the laundry services onboard, so we're not sure what the cost would be for that amenity. We paid for drinks a la carte so we can't speak about the cost of a drinks package. However, we paid $250 per person for kayaking. I have seen kayaking as high as $345 per person through third party booking sites so it's possible all of these costs can change depending on who you book through and what itinerary you choose. Sorry we're not more help!

Great video. If you had a choice for an Alaskan Cruise. American Queen with the Ocean Victory or Uncruise Legacy

Hi, Steve! It's hard to say as we have not sailed with American Queen. Since every cruise line operates differently, even though it's the same ship, it would be a completely unique experience. We loved our time in Alaska with UnCruise and would definitely sail with them again. Ocean Victory is a much newer ship than the Wilderness Legacy which would be the biggest difference. So it really depends on what you're looking for!

Hello! The only time we could hear the ship hitting ice was when we were traveling slowly through a bay with small growlers (small bergs) and we were standing on the platforms looking down at the bow. We never heard anything while onboard, whether in the lounges or in our cabin. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching :)
