We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in all four restaurants and cannot list a favorite among them.
We have also cruised on the (ultra-) luxurious SilverSea line. Although Oceania is highly commendable, it does not compare to SilverSea’s personalized service and presentation of food served.

Hi, The food and the ship looks amazing. I was about to ask how it all compares with Silversea and then I read your comments. We tend to prefer smaller ships like Island Sky or Hebridean Sky which are excellent, but for obvious reasons don't have as many dining choices. We are going to go on Silver Explorer in 2024 so we'll see how that compares. Thanks for sharing your holiday. I do enjoy seeing these videos as well as your flying adventures. You can speak a lot about cruise ships. We are not difficult people I think 🙂. Sometimes you like the food better, sometimes you like quieter atmosphere and excellent service more, sometimes you like great entertainment at night and lively people... . After this Oceania cruise we said to each other that we prefer SilverSea much more than Oceania. The contrast with the previous SilverSea cruise was obvious. Oceania was excellent but SilverSea has an indescribable atmosphere. From day one it feels like a family, you make more easily contact with other passengers and we didn't experience that now on Oceania. Oh Silver Explorer, what route will you sail? We will sail next month around the Cape Verde islands with Nicko Cruises. We enjoyed our 2 previous Nicko Cruises on the Danube river and to the Azores. Obviously the food and service was not the level from SilverSea but it's a good company to explore the world. Only German speaking 😞. It's also ok to travel a little more basic sometimes. Thank you a thousand times for your ever-repeating appreciation. I am a little demotivated to make videos, this one took me six months to finish and I am hopelessly behind on editing all the other trips in 2023. So, I'm glad to hear that you like our videos. @@FrederikClaessens We don't really need the entertainment, shows etc. We prefer small, comfortable, very personal service with good food. The itineraries are also very important. We've been to most of the bigger ports in the Mediterranean, some of which are a bit too touristy for me so it's good to go on small ships that can get into much smaller ports without the need to take tenders. We are doing Maritime Canada - Montreal to Boston - on the Silver Explorer. We did a small ship cruise to Cape Verde last month on Hebridean Sky. It was the highlight of the year for me. We visited 8 out of the 10 islands and were able to dock at most of them although we had to use zodiacs once of twice. I absolutely loved everything about it. The people are warm, friendly and welcoming and their culture is unique... a bit Portuguese, a bit African and even a bit of Brazilian style carnival thrown in! Creating and editing videos is really hard work. The average viewer doesn't appreciate how much effort goes into it. I tend to post on our website, mostly photos, with text and an occasional video clip, but even that is quite hard work. The most important thing is to keep the memories fresh which is what I try to do. I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos... when you have the time and inclination to work on them. Although I have never done an ocean cruise, I found your video really interesting and enjoyable. Oceania looks a good possible choice for our first ocean cruise line. What a joy and privilege it must be if, as I hopefully correctly assume, you treat your Mom to these cruises. They are so precious, and you realise even more so when (as with me) they have passed on. Great photography and editing skills !
