I've watched this numerous times and his kit height always weirded me out, but now I see it! It's for efficiency of motion! He never has to reach above his shoulders so everything is easily within reach. That probably greatly helps with his complexity and speed. Brilliant if ya ask me.

I've been in awe of this guy recently. I do wonder how much of his parts are left to improv, so much of his playing just sounds like syncopated goofing off that I can't tell.
@LegitAdventurerTTV4 жыл бұрын
None of it. He actually discussed this in an interview that a lot of comments say he just kinds smashes his drums and hopes for the best but he said that everything he writes, he writes based on sounds. He doesn't try to write off time or odd syncopated patters. He just plays what he feels and plays it over and over until he feels its in the pocket. I'm sure his songs start rather bare and each play through he adds another part or 2 until its done haha. "Its not just random. Alright?" Loool
@tysmith82092 жыл бұрын
Definitely not. Chris has unbelievable technical skill. He has a pretty big background in Jazz drumming so all the applications are there. Chris just wanted to come out with a fresh new twist on metal drumming and he has certainly delivered. There is no random skin mashing about it. Chris's skill and experience level are far beyond your typical good drummer.

Good drummers only use their forearms and wrists to play, any other movements are excessive and usually take away speed and precision.

I'll have my Oreos with a cup of milk, and if I don't have those things I'll have a fucking PB&J. Seems like you've dabbed in that kind of lifestyle since you can smell it to a T.

John LeDoux We get it, that kind of joke is a thing. We've heard it. People who are still stating it are just trying to look like smart asses. Is my perspective.
@John-wb2kk9 жыл бұрын
That's the negative perspective of it, and that wasn't what I was aiming for. I was just trying to make a joke in attempt to humor you, but failed because of your emotional stubberness. I guess the lesson I learned today is not to try and humor someone with "gaming" in their title.
@TimenSpaceGaming9 жыл бұрын
John LeDoux Cuz of course that also has a list of stereotypical jokes you instantly assume? You got a problem with seeing someone and instantly label aspects of their life. First vinyl and now gaming? You should be less critical about how others live their day according to their interests. Check your privilege idiot.
