my blog posts seem to occupy the whole screen on desktop and I dont know how to adjust it to create a sidebar while at it

With OceanWP you can adjust the layout for single blog post pages via Customize > Blog > Single Post. If you want them to display a sidebar, then just choose any of the sidebar layouts. To configure sidebars and content, navigate to WP dashboard, Appearance > Widgets. Are these options only on the paid version? I don't see a lot of these options. Particularly, I'm looking for the option to change the template on posts. But the Template section and the drop-down menu doesn't appear when I create a new post.

Sorry we missed your question, YT did not display any comments at all at one point. You can use the inbuilt loop builder and customize the posts via Customize > Blog > Single Post. On the other hand, if you'd like to build custom templates using page builders, that is possible but only with pro versions of those builders. The other solution would be to build your own html / php templates using a child theme. Thanks for this video!! By the way, have you a video on how to put a custom header on single posts? So whenever I create a new post the header is already there on all the single posts pages? I am also using ocean wp and elementor.
