THANK YOU FOR YOUR LECTURE. FROM THE BIBLE I LIKE THE STORY OF TOBIT AND THE ANGEL RAFAEL THAT IS MY SECOND NAME WHICH WAS MY GRANDPA NAME. WELL ONE DAY I WENT WITH A FRIEND TO A STREET FESTIVAL IN WASHINGTON DC IN ADAMS MORGAN. AND SUDDENLY I NOTICED THAT MY SHOELACES WERE UNTIED. SO AT THE SAME INSTANT THAT I BEND DOWN TO TIED MY SHOE LACES. SOMEONE THROW A GLASS BOTTLE. AND IF I HAD BEEN STANDING. IT MIGHT BROKE MY FACE OR I MIGHT HAVE LOST AN EYE OR BROKE MY NOSE SO I TOLD MY FRIEND. LETS GO RIGHT NOW. AND WE LEFT. Very beautiful homily. Over the past year been praying in earnst to my Guardian Angel. I have been making strides toward Christ. I wish more people could see the great help God has given us in our Guradian Angels.

If I were to have a spiritual father on earth I would ask in great prayer with fervor to have your presence in my life to guide me to the truth of the Holy Catholic Church and Her teaching. I've wondered, when Lot was talking to the angels that came to destroy Sodom - how did he know they were angels? Maybe they had halos but he must have had holy eyes to be able to see them.

We do not name our angels, but God allows us to receive the name of the gaurdian angel that has been assigned to us. God has named our angel and we receive the name in prayer.

I have great difficulty grasping how a perfect entity in the presence of God would choose to rebel against God ? Does this mean that ordinary mortals that get into Heaven, also have free will ? If Heaven is a state of perfection, and the Angel it’s most perfect creation, why would they reject God ? What would be the incentive if they’ve already attained immortality and paradise ? I saw these beings as a young child and spoke to them. They where small dove - like beings that would be on my window sill very early in the mornings.

I've read you shouldn't pray to guardian angels but archangels because of the hierarchal assignments of angels..can anyone clear this angelological question up?

Could it be that the Archangel Gabriel is a guardian angel as well? As a little kid of about 4 to 6 years old I always told people that he was my guardian angel. I don't know where I got this from or how I even knew about St. Gabriel as a young kid. I also found it strange that other people couldn't tell me who their guardian angel was. Was that a revelation from God or just childish fantasy?

Zami9000 it is Tradition that St. Michael was the Guardian Angel of Jesus and that St. Gabriel was Mary's. With that being said, being mystically in the Body of Jesus with Mary as our Mother, I am sure that they are very much involved with our care. Hope that helps.
