EV cars in UK are ONLY selling in certain sectors, ie if they are part of a company package, it has been proven that people are holding on to their ICE cars buying high mileage cars, repair garages are booming, depreciation of hybrid cars is horrific as nobody wants to buy an old battery, the Teslas lose 70% of their value over 3 years. The infrastructure is not had enough investment, In cities it can work but national the EV network is years behind. The government uses a big financial stick to fine ICE cars in cities (ULEZ ) and EV makers not meeting quoters must pay fines. The car makers lie about range encouraging range anxiety. The whole thing is a white elephant in UK.

Car sales are tanking cause nobody's buying new cars cause of the crisis. Far as I've seen EV sales are also tanking. Some EU govmnts are enforcing EVs tho, for public transport atleast and I do know there's a shortage of EV busses. But yeah, as per consumer cars, many EV owners want to go back to ICE for their next car, citing bad infrastructure as prime reason

I do think fundamentals still matter with long term investing, but making money in the short term is about hype and the imperfect perception of human beings. The catch is, in order to buy the long term winners early, you have to patiently and dispassionately engage with the hype to see whose fundamentals actually have legs

I am just writing this because I know you care for any development - even the small ones; I am from Denmark and latest info from our Government is that from the 1st of January 2025 they will add a yearly tax of 1.410 dollars on electic cars. If it will have an effect on the demand on e.g. Tesla in my country?; I doubt - because we are taxed so heavily on everything so this is just an add-on to the total pile.
