Brilliant. Yur passion is infectious kezza. Keep yur natural style going , mate, nothing contrived or too rerined. Your style seems to suit the wood you turn. You're a bit of a burl yourself if you ask me. Roughcut but glowing when the oil and the buffing goes on. I find your work inspiring Kezza.

Outstanding work mate. Really love that wood. I’m with you being prejudiced about the Aussie burls. That grain is really out there!

Kezza, that is exceptional grain in that burl. Well Done!! I like that you listen to your viewers and turned this style with the bowl protruding from the rim. Making it octagon instead of square is a really nice touch. I thought you might have made the bowl too small and the rim too wide ... until you showed the finished bowl. The proportions you ended up with are just right. On the next one, you might try making the rim curve down like a flower petal (or curve up). I have done that on a bowl that didn't protrude and the look it quite interesting if you put a significant curve/curl down in the rim. Waiting to see your next video - really like watching you turn wood and your commentary as you work.

Thank you so much for leaving your feedback, mate. Without you guys, the channel wouldn’t exist. The semi-closed form shape sounds like a great idea-I really like that. I’ll talk to you directly. Cheers, Kezza

Great job Kerry. Certainly a million dollar piece of wood. Fancy way of drawing your octagon with a computer. Try this next time. 8 into 360 goes 45 times or 45 degrees. So just get your trusty protractor, place it on your diameter line and mark off 45 degrees on the circumference and do this all the way around the piece. Then just join up the 8 points on the circumference. I recently did this for a 9 sided bowl (40 degrees) - called a nonagon would you believe.

Nice little bowl and awesome grain but sadly the slickest turning action has to be the tenon cut with the small spindle gouge, lovely action and no need for a secondary Skew visit.ittle things please little minds.

Beautiful wood and bowl. 24º in The Netherlands and its summer. What range of speed do you usually use? I use for 90% 30-2000rpm
@KerryCorney3 ай бұрын
That sounds beautiful. I served in Afghanistan with a lot of Dutch soldiers🤝 really awesome bunch. I spin it as fast as I can without getting vibration. When I'm cutting torn grain, it's a lot slower. 🐌 Ontzettend bedankt, maat. Fijne dag verder. Kezza
