From the picture of the tonearm. I think you have mounted the cartridge wrong. The cartridge always has an overhang according to the length of the tonearm.(This overhang is less if the length of tonearm is longer)Generally you mount the tip of the stylus touches at the length of the tonearm. The stylus never goes to the center of the spindle., unless you have a linear straight tonearm. If you have a mounting plate those 2 points do go to the middle of the spindle. It's just saying those two points are at zero distortion if they're in line . Please research on this and guarantee you have a better sound.
