I was not enjoying octo weapon 1 but after watching this video I started using the ads and it's actually pretty good. I got a five kill win, Thanks!

I think the ADS is fine, the hipfire doesn't feel too good, but I'm not sure I've played with it enough yet. Its hard to form good opinions on these things when most fights are Octo vs Octo right now

Think his ADS also reloads his normal ammo too if you hit a player. Not gotten him to 10 yet but his 2nd gun does feel a bit better, even if it's 'ammo economy' is worse lol

It does reload if you hit a player ya. I've played him more since this of course and I'm not sold on the 10 damage, I feel like you almost always want to ADS with this weapon, though it also feels slightly slower to fire? don't think it actually is though. I'm not sold on the W1 right now, feels like its ADS only which I'm assuming is not what they wanted

It does reload his normal ammo if you hit someone, so I think the strat with Weapon 1 is to mix ADS'd shots into regular hipfiring. Of course, this probably becomes less optimal than Weapon 2 in a live scenario where you may not have enough Intel to power the ADS, ammo in general to power the hipfire, or good enough aim to be able to hit those shots that the ADS keeps reloading (as a note, hipfire headshots with Weapon 1 DO inflict 20 damage but it'd be understandably difficult to consistently hit those in a live game) but since I have yet to try him in a match as of reading this comment I cannot say whether this is accurate.

So, personal thoughts: W1 sucks. W2 feels massively more powerful, especially in teams. His E3 is... Not as good as I was expecting - you have to *keep* your gaze on them to keep them neutralized. E2 is better, but it's kinda clunky mechanically. It does so many things, though, including just scouting for players. His passives are interesting, but P2 is the only consistent one. I'd be curious to see a build that just waltzes out of the vault with like 35 Intel to burn without ever pinging!

Also, the change to the tripwire *sound* is awful! I really hope they revert that change - it's so subtle now that you both don't realize someone's hit your tripwire *or* that your cover broke because of a tripwire. (Or that a teammate hit a tripwire.) I have been able to cause an undue amount of chaos with them, but... It isn't leading to *fun* gameplay.

Great wins with Octo! I was playing him in duos and trios last night and I have to admit that W1 does not feel very powerful. The new map is impressive in scale. My teammates and I were struggling to find the symmetry/patterns between all of the terminals. The map feels IMMENSE especially with so many levels and few open sightlines, unlike in Fragrant Shore. It's reassuring to see someone get as lost as I did on the first few matches 😆 I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the new map/agent as the meta develops!

Noticing you're getting XP when your passive was going off while you were scanning. On Jackpots I was seeing 5xp pop up. Potential XP grind? Probably not, but funny nonetheless

I almost always get killed by cavalierre's but I had this happen with a Xiu like 4 times in a row a couple days ago. Same level 500 guy killed my level 36 ass 4 games in a row

Did they fix the bug of not getting the achievement when you call all extraction points in one game yet? Done it three times without getting the achievement

I've heard that's been fixed for a while now, but I can't confirm personally. One thing to know is you won't get it if the car is called automatically once (e.g. timer or being last player alive), and I also heard there was a bug if you called them in with the spyglass instead of manually. Hopefully one of those is the issue you're having 🤞

I usually don't leave two comments but what do you use to record and what do you use to make your thumbnails?

I use OBS to record voice & game, and DaVinci Resolve to edit, if needed. Thumbnails I use Photoshop or a similar (free) tool to get assets (text, backgrounds, agent images, loadouts) the way I want them, and a program called Figma to put all the assets together into a thumbnail, though that could be done in photoshop as well, I'm just not as familiar with it. I think the secret for thumbnails, at least for me, was to do 2 steps, create and edit assets, and then a second step to build those into a thumbnail.

@@FibbletWell you could look into Figma, I'm not sure I recommend it, I'm just used to it because I had to use it previously. GIMP is usually recommended as a free photoshop, or sometimes Paint.Net . Find what works for you I guess!

Ngl Weapon 1 feels pretty miserable to me and 2 is hella inconsistent (you either hit for a 70 opener or get no value whatsoever) lmao W3 is pretty consistently good tho
