May God have mercy on me I am not there yet, the verdict and sentance was rubbish, police, jury, judge and every one of them involved will have to stand before God they have not got away with it. God has a plan for dem. May God help me, but I find it hard.

This sermon has really blessed by soul. Minister HJ Wesley truly dissected the act or conscious of forgiveness and allowed me to take a look at a past situation in my personal life that I found difficult to let go. And not to mention Botham Jeans younger brother, Brandt Jean demonstration of forgiveness, wow..... I cried while listening to him say, "I love you"...."I want nothing but the best for you (Amber Guyger)"...."I want to hug her". In my opinion, his action was the epitome of true forgiveness. This sermon right here ☝️ has truly taught me how to forgive, let go, and how to move forward.

Here's something EVERY Christian needs to eventually accept: you will never get to the next level in Christ until you forgive someone who didn't ask for it, doesn't care if you've forgiven them or not, and will just as soon curse you out (or worse) if they ever see you.
@maryreynolds29445 жыл бұрын
While sitting in service watching this the only thing I could say was we don't know how the spirit fell on him. He spoke how he felt. Pastor Wesley did a Phenomenal job with this even to picking the best example from Bible to give us clear understanding. I applaud him for actually saying how most of us felt. I totally understand the intension of both Christianity and blackness. He spoke that truth. He gave us instructions on how to forgive like he stated you gotta want it. It's a journey But God! Joseph was a perfect example of how we ought to forgive although it hurt him deeply God prevailed in his life. Let's continue to hold on to God's unchanging hands it will make us a better Christian. (Pastor Wesley) Lord we truly thank You for this Anointed and Gifted Man of God that You have blessed us with who daily gives us what thus saith the Lord. An Anatomy of Forgiveness. I believe that was the title. Truly A Word for the people of God. Continued blessings Sir.

I know this is late but sometimes forgiveness means walking away and never looking back. Forgiveness does not always mean reconciliation. When we sit in the same position because we feel broken, our mind starts to replay the good times and we start asking ourselves "what could I have done better?" Truth is, we can't make someone love or stay with us. It doesn't mean that something is wrong with us, it just means that those who left have now made room for the right people to come into our life. Hope you've healed. Hugs

See how God works? This week, my prayer theme was asking God for the ability to truly and genuinely forgive people (mostly two family members) that have done some hurtful things and to not hold grudges and want revenge. Not just saying "I forgive them" but to truly have forgiveness in my heart... AND THEN??? I see this pop up on my recommended videos. Thank you Father God.

When I first read about Botham Jean's brother hugging Amber Guyger, I did not know how to react. I felt torn between the need for forgiveness, but also the need to recognize the incredible wrong Ms. Guyger had committed. To be frank, I felt anger growing within me because I knew that this compassion would not be shown toward a black person. Thank you, Pastor Wesley, for the message from Scripture that shows me how I as a Christian should respond.

I came across alfred street in youtube recommendations. Never have i encountered God through a ministry in the way i have with this church and this truly annointed minister. This message was powerful. I totally agree with the points on releasing the anger but also eventually not talking about it. Once the offence is committed to God and you pray to get over the disappointment, it all fades with the passage of time. You know you truly learn when you never repeat the mistake again.

And THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!!! I've watched Dr. Wesley preach almost weekly for as long as he's been on KZbin. THIS message is probably one of the most honest messages I have EVER heard. I didn't even watch the news footage because I didn't want to see the verdict or sentencing because I was so upset. I pray that GOD would give us all the love of GOD, the courage and strength that this young man has shown to this woman. Like some of the families of the Charlotte 9, GOD is using these families to teach us a very valuable message. john 13:34-A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, that you also love one another. 35- By THIS all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Matthew 5:43-You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44- But I say, LOVE your enemies! PRAY for those who persecute you! 45- In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For He gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. 46- If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. 47 -If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. 48 But YOU are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."

whew... I did not allow myself to watch the trial or Brandt Jean's statement. It was just too painful. I watched the clip and I'm physically sick... not necessarly by his words but by his embrace of Amber Gygure. Only God could crack open Brandt's heart to allow Jesus Christ and His all consuming grace to have center stage for a time like this. Although I have many questions and am in disbelief by it all, I refuse to put God on trial. No matter how hard it gets, I still believe He's got it all in control and His will be done. I hope the Jean family will stand with Atatiana Jeffersons family. To forgive on this magnitude is like cutting the cancer out and pray that it does not return. I pray for the fortitude to continue to fight for justice every single day. We are tired and hurting. We will rest but will never quit! Thank you Pastor Wesley. Continue to illuminate the path so that we all may continue to fight-on!

Amber was jealous of him! There was a pic of her, this innocent man and another white woman in the pic as well. This photo went viral after the pre-meditated murder against this man! This country will always be judged by black and white! I truly understand forgiveness, but that manipulating role-play they performed in front of that amazing family, was aweful! It took a lot for that brother to demonstrate his heartfelt Godly forgiveness! God is going to bless that family abubdantly! That took a page out of the bible for him to to do that! Prayerfully, somebody somewhere, saw the power of God take presense! I'm still in tears! God, and His Son Jesus's power of Love is a Lesson of Life! That crime touched THE WHOLE WORLD! Thank you pastor for this teaching! Because I was so hurt and lost by the court's decision and the brother's decision! But what I learned from this case, was, evil helped turned the cops intentions for bad, but; God step in and turned this tragedy around for the good of the family! But God! Thank You Lord! This was a good lesson Dr. Wesley!🙏🏼☝🏿🙌🏼🙄🤔😔😊

Peace. I hope this helps... * "I am so sorry; but I don't know if I could do that" 1.Respond vs React (control emotions/ anger) 34:29 - 35:55 2. Forgiveness takes time, it's a journey (length is different for each person) 35:56 - 36:33 * "Something is just not right with this situation." When Satin comes...(39:46) 40:08 - 41:03 * "I can forgive but I would just put her in God's hand and leave it there. I would save my hugs for my parents." Praying FOR vs ABOUT(what putting it in God's hands REALLY mean) (51:40) 52:00 - 56:01 * The Breakthrough But God... 37:17 - 39:34 I hope this helps. I am struggling too but I felt a little better after this sermon. I will more than likely revisit this same sermon a few more times after I read the scriptures for better understanding. Forgiveness isn't the issue. It's the PUBLIC displays of forgiveness that I have a problem with. Oppressors don't always need to know that they've been forgiven. Sometimes, forgiveness should be between you and God. There are times when you have to let them live with what they've done and not tell them that they've been forgiven.

Thank you! Pastor I am one of those people...Your better than me. Law enforcement want let me go after that man in Georgia that raped the love of my life. So, we 🙏 because I was forced to live with the pain and hurt of losing her after she graduated from Tulane University Graduate School of Social Work.

According to the judge, the bailiff wasn't combing her hair - she was frisking her hair when she came back from a break. It was on the Tamron Hall Show.

Out of this entire powerful sermon, is that the only thing you received from it??

@@btterflyqueen6854 dumb question...But anyway, I was just pointing out a fact. I listen to all of his sermons. Did you listen, while you stalking comments?

Yea, I seen that and I don't believe her.

@ Megan, what was dumb about the question. This Pastor preached a whole sermon about the Christian and the flesh and how our people are feeling and you chose the one thing that is irrelevant. Not stalking comments, but senseless statements stick out. @Reagan, I don't believe that either.

Thats a damn lie. Tamron hall just provided her the platform to lie to the world. If you really believe that, then I dont know what to tell you.

I wonder if the reason we are so quick to forgive is because we lack the power to establish justice in those/that scenario(s) and therefore we settle for forgiveness.

Hmmm... That's a thought-provoking question and relevant as it relates to a group's perception of its power (or the lack thereof). Another thought that comes to me regarding the question you've posed reflects the history of overcoming/resilience that God has established for us as "black" people worldwide. There is no destroying us, and our strength is beyond imagination (even our own at times), which is why the enemy has forged such strategic emotional, political, social, economic, and spiritual attacks against us--all of which we always overcome and provides us with a body of proof that we can forgive because we win regardless. However, we need to repent to our Father and begin walking/seeing/believing/speaking as we were so designed; we then will look like Joseph at the point of his elevated status within the king's kingdom. You get it?😄

I think this is unrealistic. People think they can violate believers because of our relationship with God. Forgiveness is for people who truly truly are remorseful for their offenses. I won't carry around anger but this is by no means a free pass for you to treat me any kind of way because I'm a believer.

Did she ask for forgiveness? " but I love you just like anyone else." I don't. We need to go to God in prayer and ask why do we have to be left stuck with loving someone who has ruined us, destroyed us. His brother Brandt Jean, is brainwashed. People have hatred. That's just my personal opinion. It may not be the way YHWH established, however it would have taken a while to get over the hurt and pain.

Isn’t this pastor divorced? Where was the forgiveness needed to heal his marriage?

Forgiveness does not necessarily mean reconciliation?

RIP to the witness Josh for testifying. He didn't deserve to die 10 days later either. She had a master copy of the key to enter into his apartment is what I suspect. How terrible and sad.
