Sounds great! Yeah, configuring pedals and levers is a skill in itself. I reconfigured 2 Universal 12string 7+5's recently- WOW was that an operation! I even had to add helper springs to get short throws and full returns to pitch. My geometry teacher would have laughed out loud as I struggled to make sense of bellcranks, throws, tension, etc., but the results were SOO worth it! Fast "Bakersfield" shredding is a style I play a lot ,and short fast throws "giterdone"! Interesting- My 1974 MSA Classic 12 string came with very fast throws, it seems newer steels like my "98 Carter U12 are set up for playing like you did here.
