We have about 15 active members that do a complete maintenance of the layout. Most of the work is done on Wednesday nights and after Train Show season. We add quite a few new dioramas

This is fabulous. Brings back great memories of my dad and me Lionel model railroading. The detail is exquisite and the whole layout makes my heart happy. The ending with the various industries and amusement park is worth the price of admission. I would love to visit your display sometime. Thank you so much!

I am not a fan of 3 rail, but this railroad has it all. Beautifully detailed and great looking equipment. Driving vehicles. Well done.

I would hate to be a passenger, on the passenger train that passed, in the begenning of the video? People slung all over the place? Lol! Love the video!

The photographer probably owns the Burlington Northern SD-35s. They come up every 5-10 seconds.
@kevinmartin99402 жыл бұрын
Those were the only engines that ran the entire show.m, therefore, most of the video is of that group of engines. Normally the layout would have 10-15 trains running at one time.

A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though I don't believe mine will be quite as large as this.
@kevinmartin99402 жыл бұрын
The layout is 185 plus feet long and about 35 feet wide.
@Stussmeister2 жыл бұрын
@@kevinmartin9940 Goodness, that's quite an impressive size. I most certainly won't have room for something that size in my house, and the HO scale layout at my model railroad club is about 30' x 60'.
@kevinmartin99402 жыл бұрын
For HO, that’s huge
@Stussmeister2 жыл бұрын
@@kevinmartin9940 Indeed. The club president told me they've been working on the layout for over 30 years, and it does take up pretty much the entire basement space.

One of the coolest Lionel setups I've seen to date. My local club has one that's expanded only slightly the last 9 years and get's the least love compared to the N and HO layouts.

The one person operating the GG1 likes speed regardless of making it look real, I think he had the controller at 100 Scale MPH.
