Happy Birthday month! I hope you enjoy Dracula - I really liked that book. I loved the musical number at the end - nice job! I sang very briefly in my last TBR video to much more mixed results 😆

The Gormenghast books were amazing. The creepy sisters were probably my favorite characters. I always enjoy finding books with readers' names and dates in them, especially older ones, but so far for some reason I have never put my own name in books when I finish them. Hopefully your birthday month plans go well. I always try to do the same in March, but most years something comes up to derail my plans by birthday time- blizzards, war outbreaks, Covid, animal shelter closures (I do kitten rescue), etc. BUt I always get a corned beef roast for myself for birthdays, since they are always available and on sale after mid-March. :)

Happy birthday month in advance! The Name of the Wind 🥰 Titus Groan is indeed a slow-burn read, so happy it's working for you so far 🙏🏽 I haven't read Dracula either! Maybe I will one day, the bloodiness puts me off a bit. So true about Kingkiller! 👌 Cadence is the word- its perfect in KKC for me. Beautiful singing and song ☺️🙏🏽

I’ve been wanting to read Dracula too. It’s fun to read something like that, you “know”it but not really. I just did that with Romeo and Juliet - it was great to compare the actual text to the cultural impacts it has had.

I'm only about five years behind in catching your video on The Little Friend. I just finished the Donna Tartt book and luckily came upon your video which filled in and rounded out my reading experience of the book. You have helped me figure out my feelings about the book, feelings which I had great difficulty in processing. Now, thanks to you, I can truthfully appreciate the book as the great one it is!

Cripple of Inishmann is terrfic McDonagh. He's a great playwright. I've seen maybe eight of his plays. And Sweeney Todd is also my favorite musical.

Hello Juan. Happy October Birthday in advance. I hope to re-read Dracula next month. I was very happy with The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward. It gets weird, but stick with it. It'll all make sense in the end. Ward has become a new favorite of mine. I also read and enjoyed her novel Sundial. Happy reading.
