Why do you usually leave the roots of the pepper plants in the ground? Is it to let them also break down a bit over winter? 🤔Also I had totally missed that AeroGarden are going out of business 😮

Yeah. The roots do a lot of good for the soil! They help not only with organic matter and microbes but also soil structure and preventing compaction etc ..
