Well done you! What ever you have harvested is a bonus when you are recovering and house hunting, you can't do everything. It must be a bad year for apples as I usually see lots of apples put out for the taking around south Dorset, but this year I have only seen one such opportunity which were cooking apples. I will try to save some for some Christmas crumble by wrapping some of the good apples in news paper and keeping them separated, this usually works well and sometimes keeps them into the new year. Bless little Shakey, she's there! The thing about moving is leaving the little graves of ones pets. We had our collie dog, goose and 4 ducks eventually all buried in our garden of 20 yrs. In my new garden I wanted to plant a magnolia in memory of my late husband, I was trying to decide the right place, he had been such a knowledgeable gardener I asked him in my heart, where is the best place? Eventually I decided on a spot, dug down to what I thought was the correct depth and low and behold, there was an old coin minted the year of his birth! I think there's more to all this life and death stuff than we will ever understand.x

Those white beans look so pretty. My little Cavelier is buried right beneath my garden shed window and my big white cat is buried at the edge of the garden and i can reminisce every time i glance their way . ❤ I love that Shakey is still in the garden with you ❤ Ill be glad to get any harvest at a this season Down Under. Its already super dry and hard to keep anything alive here. There's rain supposedly building up but for months we've been between storms without any falling on us. My main focus is keeping our fruit trees alive . So different to last years , flooding rain. I hope your kale does well. Thank you for sharing lovely ❤❤

Nice to see you looking brighter, wrapped up warm against the cold. I've been tidying up a bit in our garden the last few days, in between the showers. The weather has really turned in Derbyshire. But like you still using up the harvest.

Lovely visit. While the apple peel may look rough the fruit is usually all the sweeter.

Didn't know that about white beans being butter beans! It is a pretty bean! I have a bunch of beans that I need to shell for seed and bags and bowls of flower heads that need to be be harvested of their seeds and put in envelopes. Good job for the colder days!

Little brown spots could be bitter pip which is caused by a lack of calcium, lime in the spring

I watch you garden because I have a black thumb. I've always wanted to try, but I have mobility issues and when my husband and I were dating, he gave me a cactus. I killed it in a month, lol.

Hang in there Redrose. Keep trying and keep researching. I fail a lot, I have health issues, but I still have dreams and we can keep trying as best we can. Take care.

Not many honesty boxes on my way to work this year, so no apple pies for the freezer😢
