Happy to see you back! Thanks for being patient and not scraping the whole video after your technical difficulties. There are so many indigenous authors who will give you a much better history of their experience. A new book that just came out this year by Anishinaabe reporter Tanya Talaga called The Knowing which is the history of Canada as told through first people’s perspective might give you what you were looking for.

Ooeee. You got me intrigued about Rachel's Rokje! Because the unnatural-feeling language Dutch authors write in has definitely been my main reason for veering away from Dutch literature. But the simultaneous Winterson and Lispector comparison was frankly already enough. 😁
