Hi Holly. I love your packing videos. I actually play them over when I do my Etsy orders. You are just lovely. Your detail to packing and your soaps are just amazing. Thank you for putting them up-its nice happy distraction from the awful year of 2020.

I have the same packing paper system too, I love it, and I love the way you do your packing. You have the same ethics as I do when I pack my orders, if it’s not the way I would like to receive a package then it’s not good enough for my customers. Keep up the good work and I absolutely love your videos 😊😊😊😊❤️

I have only been getting take out from my favorite places to help keep them in business. No eating in though!

Thankfully, our favorite places have seen increased business and are having a hard time keeping up with the demand. I miss them though!

@@moriversoap That's actually awesome! Glad they are doing well even if it's a lot of work. And yes, getting tired of covid here too. Would like to visit the grandkids!

We started frequenting our favorite local restaurants. We have started to dine in and it was so good to catch up with the owners, who are also friends. We go out once a month, so it's easy to budget for. We also made the decision last Spring to start seeing our kids and grandkids. The grandchildren were suffering and I couldn't stand it any longer. We can only put our lives on hold so much.

I love your eco wrap! Can you do a video sometime of how you cut it? I'm thinking about switching to it from bubble wrap but would love to see if its a quick process to cut it for each box.
@moriversoap4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think I had one at one time but I can't remember where it is. It's in a packing video I think. It's just on a roll and we pull it out over a large quilters cutting mat and then use a rotary cutter. It does take more time than perforated bubble wrap but it's our best option right now.
@alis98404 жыл бұрын
@@moriversoap Thank you for explaining. I've been using basically the same stuff but it comes in a roll already expanded and it is terribly cumbersome to work with. I ran out so am back on bubble wrap but I really hate using all the plastic. I'll see if I can find the pack and chat you are talking about. My biggest issue is space.

We never really ate out before covid, it gets too expensive. We go even less than our maybe once a month taco bell run that we used to do. Though I will say that at 36 weeks pregnant, I could seriously go for pickled carrots with peppers on my chili relleno burrito from my local drive through mexican food. I could eat 10 a day if I could afford it lol I will say I've been getting a little more creative with my leftovers lately, I always do home cooked food, but working on cooking more at once so my feet can rest.

We were pretty much addicted to eating out. If we were tired at the end of the day, it was easy to just go get take out. Or just for fun at lunch 'for a treat'. I'm happy to report that habit has been broken and I am super thankful for it. But when people say they lost weight "because they quit eating out"...I just call baloney on that one. LOL

@@moriversoap Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely eat out more often if it were in the budget to do so - I love discovering new places to eat other than the general chain restaurant. For example there's a local BBQ place my husband and I like to frequent around our anniversary. Just with the approaching baby (child #4), limited funds right now and so much needing done (plus my newfound love of soaping), it's just not really affordable. Plus I think I scared my husband with all of the Kitchen Nightmares I used to watch lol - so now it's just more of a "special occasions" kind of thing. For sure on the weight loss thing - for me it was about portion size control. I didn't change what I was eating at first, it was about how much of it I was eating. With having my IUD removed for health reasons and changing portion sizes and being slightly more active, I lost 60 lbs within 4 months - it was all the baby weight I had gained with my first. I still give in to my cravings, but instead of the whole Ben and Jerry's, I only eat about a third of it :D

I'm very new to soap making. Some people provide recipes in their videos. I would follow it, but when it comes to adding EO I run into a problem. For some reason almost every EO seizes my butter. I add it after I mix lye and reach emulsion. I try not to stir butter while i'm adding the EO, but in this case I have huge blobs in my butter. I tried to order FR from Brambleberry which wouldn't speed up the trace. Nevertheless I have tiny grains, so when I cut the soap I do not have a smooth cut. Please help!
@moriversoap4 жыл бұрын
That's not fun! I am not sure why you're having such a bad time with essential oils. What kind are you using? Are they coming from a supplier such as Bramble Berry? What temperature are you soaping at?
@victoriasumchanka4 жыл бұрын
@@moriversoap I tried Lavender, Tea tree, Ylang, lemon grass and others. I bought mine from GreenHealth Essential Oils, but I used Brambleberry Rf and it also gave me blobs even though it said on their website, that it doesn't accelerate tracing and behaves good in CP.I'm soaping at 105-100.
@moriversoap4 жыл бұрын
That's peculiar. What is Rf? I am not quite sure what that stands for. I would suggest soaping at room temperature. Do you have luck with fragrances in the same recipe? Perhaps you need more liquid oils to keep the batch fluid? Without knowing your exact recipe (and I am not asking for you to share it if you don't want to), it is hard to trouble shoot what is going on.
@victoriasumchanka4 жыл бұрын
@@moriversoap Sorry, I meant FR - fragrance. This particular recipe has beef tallow. So, I was thinking maybe that thing gives me grainy texture. My room temperature is 66, that's why I was trying to mix everything at 100, so solid oils will stay liquid longer.

are your bath products safe for sensitive skin?
@moriversoap4 жыл бұрын
We do formulate our soaps and products to be on the gentler side. We can't make any claims that our products are for sensitive skin or otherwise. Our soap is made to cleanse and some people will be more sensitive to ingredients, usage rates, etc.. We have customers that rave about our products but we also understand that skin sensitives are individual. We recommend cautiously using a new product as you would with any new product. Of course, discontinue use and consult a physician if irritation occurs.
