October Planting & Clean Up in my Tropical Garden UK🌴🌿🌺

Early October in the garden, and lots to tidy after a storm last weekend.
The new Dicksonia Antarctica Tree Fern is settling in nicely and I wanted to make the most of a bright, sunny day to place some under planting such as ferns and grasses (using some plants that we already have in the garden).
We can sometimes have a change in the garden by simply moving plants around the garden.
UNDERPLANTING - simply means placing smaller plants and shrubs underneath larger specimens.

Hi both, just planning my tiki bar in Hereford, just up the road from you… I’m following your ideas, planting my pots in the ground. Painting fences at the moment- day two- bought the wrong colour!! @lizcookson269 Good luck and I hope it's all going well, you had a lovely day for painting today, hope your planting is going well, you'll be glad to get any palms in the ground, I couldn't believe how fast ours took off once out of pots 🌴🌴🌴🌴 I will keep posting regularly even though winter will soon be here 😔 but I hope the good weather stays for a bit so you can crack on with some jobs. Tree fern looking good (still jealous!). Very happy when my 9 year old grandson came last week,first day visit for3 weeks, . and said ‘wow it looks like a jungle’. Not a lot of height in the border but plenty of plants! Storm totally flattened the dahlias 🌴🌴🌺🌺🌹🌹😀😀

That's lovely news, don't worry the height will come in time. The storm was a bit blustery last weekend wasn't it !!!!! My Dahlias took a bit of a hit too 🌿🌺🌴
