I think there was a way to _slightly_ improve Esmarelda’s character. What if, rather than just being an out-of-nowhere thief and unnamed member of the Obsidians, she was also related to Baltazar or one of his crewmates? Before she can read enough of the stolen notebook to realize it’s useless, Tressa makes the bold move of offering her the Eldrite in exchange. Esmeralda pauses in genuine temptation… before deciding to kill Tressa and make off with both.

@@kylestubbs8867 That's better, though I wouldn't kill her since that leads to shoehorned ways that they survived, such as Teresa conviently knowing where Cyrus was at or Primrose being stabbed in just the right spot so there would be a 50/50 chance of her dying or living(idk what the writers were thinking when they made Simeon explain what happened). I honestly want to know what the writers' thought processes were when writing some of these chapters lol.

I was kinda hoping for a full-sized Lucia battle sprite, what with her being a hot evil witch and all that, but instead all we got was a grotesque abomination... 😂😂😂 They didn't disappoint with the sequel though - Dolcinea's battle sprites were awesome
